Well, I wasn't asking for ID or anything. They were young but I doubt 15 or 16. Given my taste in females I'm sure the ones I was picking were on the older side (18-24??).
Have you ever been on Geary St in San Francisco? Unlike in NYC the streetwalkers in SFO (at that time, anyway) were mainly good looking and actually female and were easy to negotiate with. What's your primary use for it going to be (home defense, carry, range)?Did you ever shoot it? Like not at a person, but to practice? If so, how did you like it? I am looking at getting a S&W 40...it will certainly not end up in a river though.

Absolutely, never at a person. Only living thing I ever shot was a big oppossum. It was a model 64, I think, similar to a classic detective's gun but with a bobbed hammer and blue metal. I usually had .38 Semi Hollow Points that made a HUGE hole in stuff like rolled up carpeting, plywood, etc.
No kick but real loud, fit easily into the back pocket of my jeans or in my leather jacket.
It was 1996, not 1991.
Like I mentioned earlier, no hookers since that year as I met my current wife later in 96, so no idea what that translates into today's dollars. Last one I spent money on was an escort, not a street walker. She was a petite, gorgeous brunette. Used to visit her once a week at $ 200 a pop. She did give me one freebee when I helped her move.
