Sometimes I sit down at the table and realize I’m not just playing poker—I’m playing myself.

Every bluff I make reflects a fear I’m trying to hide. Every fold, a moment of doubt. And every bold call? That’s me daring to believe in something bigger than the odds.

Poker has taught me more about patience, intuition, and emotional control than any self-help book ever could. It’s not just about chips and cards—it’s about reading people, reading yourself, and learning when to hold on and when to let go.

For me the biggest lesson has been patience. You can’t force the cards or the spots, and if you try you just bleed chips. Poker makes you deal with downswings and bad beats, and learning not to tilt carries over to real life. It’s about making the best decision you can with the info you have, and being okay with the outcome even if it doesn’t go your way.
