I think if you play as a beginner it is no sport. But if you develop your game and try to getting better and better, it is a sport. You must learn strategies to win. You must train hard and study to be a better player. Also the physical aspect of a long tourney is not do underestimate. If you reach the final table of a big tourney you must play 8 or more hours and on more then two days in a row. I think thats are alot of aspects which you could compare with real sportsgames.

I don't consider poker a sport. Poker is a game of chance. For me, poker is primarily entertainment, although sometimes this entertainment also brings me money

If u want to rise your personal skills and goals, i think there is something like in other "sports" where u wanna go up and up and up.

If we take that you are just a tournament player, poker could be said to be like a sports competition. In every competition you want to get the best place, and for that, like in tennis for example, there are prizes for those who finish in the first places. So if we take it as a competition, poker would look like a sport.
As for if you play only cash, I consider it to be only money. In other words, your goal would be to increase your level of gaming and betting, but the objective would only be to make a living from poker by making money.
What would be the difference between cash and Mtt's, for me the difference would be "the glory".
To give an example, you can be the best cash player in the world, play high stakes constantly and be a huge winner, but the satisfaction of playing a wsop or EPT event and winning it, or winning a tournament even if it is online gives you It gives a satisfaction that not all the money you can win in cash will give you.
