I would suggest being a bit more aggressive with your bankroll in the micros than the above numbers. You really want to get to at least a 4-digit bankroll as soon as possible, and being very conservative with bankroll management early on will slow down that process. So for cash games I would suggest a significantly more aggressive approach like:

<$100 - 2NL
$100-250 - 5NL
$250-1.000 - 10NL
$1.000-2.500 - 25NL
>$2.500 - 50NL

This gets you to 10NL as fast as possible, and this is really the first limit, where you can start to make some money and also build up skills against slightly better opponents. 25NL and above are significantly tougher on most sites, and of course its also more painfull having to top up your account with another $500 rather than another $100. So this is when, you want to start being more conservative with your bankroll, not in the micros.

For MTTs 100 BIs is enough, especially if you play a mixture of different limits, and for STTs 50 BIs is enough. Higher numbers than those are for, when you have already build up a significant bankroll and are perhaps playing in a semi-professional way. There is no need to have $400 sitting in your account just to play a $2 SnG.

I think 100 buy-ins for MMT is ok. But you can give yourself a try at higher stakes once in a wile - for exaple you can spent some % of your net winnigs to do so.
