Math can help you go from a mediocre player to a good player. odds and outs are the first thing you should learn and then you should learn how to calculate equity. Like with anything else, it just takes practice, so don't say things like "I'm not good at math". You can be if you study.

I went thru the same thing, once u get a basic knowledge of it, it just kind of sticks with u, but I realized it can only help u out, it's not perfect, u still need to take into account that there's pure chance, meaning u can go allin with pocket A's and the other player will still hit 4 suited cards to hit a flush  just saying it's not all set in stone, but having a good basic knowledge of it does help.

I forgot, poker is also about leveling (which is arguably also based on math but w/e).

All poker is entirely based on math.

The general rules of poker are not math based, while the hand rankings described in poker are. So that statement is false.

Math has a place in the decision making process, but reads will be as important if you can read the situation. Many reads are math based, many are not.

A good basis in the maths of poker is good, and a bad understanding of the poker maths is bad.

Yes, every decision in poker is purely maths based. You use a read to determine whether the maths make sense.
