When to Limp?

Ok, we all know limping is not okay, you should never do it, and if you do it you suck, bla bla.

But we all also know that you'll have to limp sometimes right. I mean by the endgame, when you have from 15 to 30 blinds maybe and you don't want to spend all those 2 expensive chips close to the bubble... You know what I mean.

My question is, at what point or situation does it start to make some sense to ocasionaly limp for you?

i think if you are a prospector you limp to see if you can find something on the flop otherwise, dont limp.

i guess you have to know why you do it and dont believe others nonsense. Limping is generally a weak play in poker, but it can be appropriate in specific situations, such as when in the small blind against a passive big blind, when several players have already limped and you have a playable hand, or when playing with a short stack in certain spots. It's best to understand why you are limping and avoid it as a default strategy.

Generally speaking, you don’t want to limp if you are the first one to enter the pot from any position other than the SB. Where I do limp, if I am going to, is when I’m on the Button and it’s already been limped ahead of me, now is not a bad time to go ahead and limp. I think obviously it’s better to raise but you know, not always, it’s going to depend on a lot of factors. Good luck!

I have limped with AA in the small blind, under the gun or in very early position, because I want to get some players to build the pot...nothing worse than AA collecting the blinds only.
