I think that would be a great strategy if later on the same tournament you play tight and get that same player to call you in an all in situation for example

You are playing at a table with a player who believes he is the best player at the table and is known to tilt easily when he is bluffed. You get into a hand with him and successfully bluff him into folding! Do you show him your bluff? Is it fair play to take actions that tilt other players?

I have never shown an uncalled hand and not ever likely to.
So the answer to the first question (Do you show him your bluff? ) is no.

Is it fair play to take actions that tilt other players? Can be a bit boring if overdone, but in this case, I would not have a problem with it. A little more information for me.

A gentleman never tells.
However poker is not necessarily always a game of gentlemen/gentlewomen. If villian is "playing dirty", has a non justified self-percetion, bullies the table etc., he might not only deserve a lecture but it might also be profitable against him to do so. The downside of showing a bluff in my opinion is that it complicates every further hand against all villians at the table because there is definitely a higher chance for all villains to play back against you.
All together i would only show a bluff if player deserves it, I don't have an edge against him anyway and the majority of the table would like it.
The jack of all trades.

it all depends on the situation and what strategy I chose if I play saves, I would not show my cards if I play with a bluff strategy then yes, it would be beneficial to me since it makes it possible for an opponent to make a mistake when you have two aces in he thinks it's a bluff but you need to be able to play

Yes, this trick puts the opponent in an unstable state of mind, we will take advantage and exploit it to the fullest. This is a head-to-head game. I know a line from the movie "Prison Break": If you want to play nice, you should vote.

Of course, I would show my cards if it would have a negative effect on my opponent, and I am convinced that this would be fair play and my completely adequate and correct decision :)

Sure thing, why not? Poker is made of bluffing, and if tht tilts him up. Probably he shouldn't play it in the first place...

If this would increase my stack, I would not hesitate to use this little "trick". Even though it may not be 100% moral, when the game at the table becomes a battle for survival, just like a wolf that smells blood, I would "attack" in this direction. This metaphor may sound a bit harsh, but I think that's exactly why live poker is such a beautiful game and loved by so many players, because every little detail can matter if you know how to turn it into an asset.

Hi
I rarely bluff. I bluff only when I am sure of my advantage and when I have a good understanding of my opponent's game. If I knew that showing my cards could have a psychological effect on my opponent, I would definitely show them to him. Although in general I never show my bluff :)
Good luck :)

I wouldn’t show as I wouldn’t want to give other people at the table information. If they are easy to tilt they will go eventually anyway.

According to my opinion it is not fair play when you take actions that it is highly possible that tilt other players. For me it is always an elementary principle to be a gentle poker villain but ohterwise i have to say it is also necessary that you can control your villain and if this person shows bad behaviour and likes to brawl then it is time to show him a bluff with a friendly smile.
If he is so lightly irritated and is on tilt i would use it to take him out because usually i dont like players who think they are the best@table.

Well you have to remember that it is part of the game. You simply want to set that person up so that he calls you when you are not bluffing. It's a sound strategy and I'm sure most of the players use it. Just keep them guessing and show that you are not scared of their play.

Yes, I only show cards to some players from our forum . And they already know my game tactics. Sometimes my Bluff doesn't work . Bluffing is an art, you have to learn it. When I show my Bluff in the chat they write something in English but fortunately I don’t know English what they write. And they throw snowballs and tomatoes at me:ROFLMAO:

I could maybe do something to try to get into his head (can't think of someting right now, and I guess it would depend on his personality, and only if he seems to not be a nice person), but not showing my hand after winning with a bluff. I just don't like doing that. Find it disrespectful, TBH. But that's just me, that's how I fell about it. I really don't like it when a player does it to another one at the table.

I can see that some players would like to do this but this is not my style as I want to have a relaxed table with relaxed players.

I would show my cards and I would consider it a perfectly fair game. No one is forbidden to show their cards, the player himself decides whether to show them or not. I don't assess the psychological state of my opponent, I just play poker. And if someone considers it an unfair game, then probably the organizers of the event, who allowed the participation of a player in a state of nervous breakdown, should be called unfair.

Of course I may show him the bluff, especially is he has air of greatness, like he is the best of the best, that is part of the game, play with the head (mentally) of your opponents.

If there is no offense, I think it's valid. I've seen it happen in a live tournament, two players start a meta game, and one of them shows 2 bluffs in two consecutive hands and laughs afterwards. In the third hand, the player who showed the bluffs found value in the hand and the other failed to fold an average hand and lost all his chips. This is one of the success stories, that perhaps if the player who showed the bluff, perhaps he would not have won so many chips because of this metagame that happened before the final hand

I think it's absolutely fair to play however you like and if it tilts someone, then so be it. Having said so, I would not want to tilt someone on purpose, only because they will try to play all-in every hand, and if I call and lose with a better hand, I will become the one who's tilted. Plus having such a success they will continue to shove. SO if I have someone at my table who tilts and punts their stack, I would not change my game in a way that will make them more tilted, even more so I won't be shoving them my bluffs. I will just try to stay patient, find leaks and exploits, so I can win their stack in the end.

No, I wouldn’t intentionally put anyone on tilt. A player on tilt is unpredictable.

If the game has this bluffing rule, but then there are players who are hard at showing a game that can end the dreams of other players, in my case I would never put an opponent in these situations again unless the same thing had already been done. this with me or with another player at the table!

I'd show the bluff, because the villain who's tilted is easier to miss and so I could do well at the table.
