Phil Hellmuth and His Leather Coat

so I've watched a tremendous amount of poker on TV the last month. Everything from the old Poker After Dark series to current shows like Poker Night in America. The thing that struck me as odd is that a lot of times when Hellmuth is on any of these programs, he's wearing the same exact black leather coat with bright red lining. He started wearing it on the old Poker After Dark show which has to be at least 5 years old and has worn it this year in Sacramento on Poker Night in America.

With all the money the guy has, you would think he can buy more than one coat for Chrissakes.

Suppose it is happy coat. I am wearing same black Pokerstars shirt on any live game.We play every friday and guys joke with me about that,but still,cant imagine to play without this shirt,. I am wearing these shirt when i have some big event online

Nothing wrong with keeping a good quality coat, poker players believe in superstition.

A good leather jacket will last a long time, and they can be quite comfortable. Plus poker rooms are typically pretty cold, so I imagine he needs a decent jacket.

Happy coat lol. I know he's done well over the years and can definitely lay down a monster wen he's beat but that guy has taking the most bad beats ever lol its as if it's set up for TV so phil will go off on 1 I just watched doug polks new video wer liv boree has 55 phil has aces and she flops a set lol he's such a sore looser him and Mike the mouth are the worst. They think they r sooooo good and wen they get a bad beat it's the other guys fault for playing those cards TBH I can't stand either of them.

Happy coat or lucky coat, either way superstition can have a strong hold on people sometimes. Winning and having a good run is what we all strive for and when that happens we try the next time to recreate it and some do that by keeping things the same. .....happy coat
