Each room has color tags. Usually, an opponent can be assigned to one of four categories. I make a tag and then know what to expect from my opponent.

Site in which I am mostly playing in does not support taking notes. Taking notes is an important part of my poker strategically. Poker is not just about calculating probabilities, but above all, it is about observing the behavior and playing styles of your opponents.

The lack of notes makes the game feel somehow unfair. Players with excellent memory or who use external aids have an advantage over those who would rather rely on the tools provided by the site. Built-in note-taking feature would level the playing field and make the experience fairer for everyone. I'm a bit lazy and I haven't been taking external notes.

When playing online, do you take notes on other players to remember their tendencies, or do you rely on memory?
I don’t take notes…if I see the same players over and over again, I can remember their general tendencies…making notes on a player you face for the first time may not give you an accurate read on how they play.

I’ve noticed I play better when I take notes on my opponents, even online. Do you guys keep notes regularly, or do you rely only on stats?
There is no notes or stats it is an and.
On sites like GG Poker (or other sites that have similar HUD's or don’t allow HUD's) the stats are so marginal that notes are a must.
Even with full-featured HUD's available, stats and notes are the best option.
With trackers, you can work out some notes after your session, e.g., you marked special hands for review even if you were not involved in the hand.

Programs for collecting statistics help to determine the opponent's style of play, but the viborka must be big, and the marks help, but they must hit up-to-date so that they work correctly

I have stopped notetaking completely. In the past I rarely found old notes usefull, when I looked at them. That might just be me though.
I agree, players often change their style of play , and younever know, if you will ever meet some players ever again.

I would just take notes on fishes and try to hunt them , but I dont play cash games this days

Percebi que jogo melhor quando anoto informações sobre meus oponentes, mesmo online. Vocês costumam fazer anotações regularmente ou se baseiam apenas em estatísticas?
I base my assessment on all the information I currently have about the opponent.

Why not just do both and maybe use a tool like note caddy to auto take notes.

I take notes on the opponents I often play against in the same tournaments. Notes are a valuable source of information, and sometimes they simply help you make the right decision. Those who take notes will always have an advantage.

Absolutely agree—notes are hugely underrated, especially online. Stats tell you what someone does, but notes tell you why they do it. A simple note like “overbluffs rivers” or “calls 3-bets too wide OOP” can be pure gold later, even with a small sample. I use stats for baseline tendencies and notes for context and exploits. The combo of both is way more powerful than relying on either one alone.
