No, it’s generally not recommended. Playing when you’re tired, unfocused, or unmotivated usually leads to poor decision-making and negative results. Poker demands mental clarity and emotional control, and without those, even good players will struggle.

If time and energy are limited, it’s often better to rest or study instead of forcing short, low-quality sessions. Quality of play matters much more than quantity.

My work doesn't leave me time to play. Sometimes I come home very tired and unmotivated, and what I end up doing is wasting what little time I play. It's not recommended to play like that, is it?
Play on days you don’t work.

Or play sit and gos or cash where you can leave when you want on work days.

It’s not great especially when you consider when you finish work some people are waking up refreshed. My hubby used to work all day then gett in a tournament that lasted 8 hours and by the end he’d be stressing that he needed to get some sleep before he had to be up for work. He used to get his wins on weekends: so we made a timetable of small games to build bankroll through week and big tournaments at weekend :).

When there's no motivation, there's no point in playing at all. If a tournament is really exciting, I can force myself to play even when I'm tired. In general, need to better manage work and play time.
Forcing yourself to play will make the tournament less exciting due to fatigue, if you manage to run deep!
Only play if your brain’s fresh with a clear thought process!
