The throwables on PokerStars are ok in my opinion, some of the more animated ones like the donkey are quite annoying though. However, WAY better than the emotes on GGPoker, they are so fkn obnoxious I can’t use that site

I have had them turned off for a long time now. It was too annoying when the same person kept doing the same things with the throwable for no reason.... it loses its effectiveness when abused. Would be different if there were equal positive throwables as there are negative throwables.....

Everyone is right... they are fun to a point, some of them are disrespectful, others motivate depending on the player who throws them or on yourself... but they have to improve, something more attractive so that the game of hours does not become boring and beyond that there is interaction with other players. Personally, I have them deactivated on the PC, not on the smartphone or you can't believe it.

I hardly use them, when my nephew visits me he likes that I use them, I think they are unnecessary, pokerstars is the one that constantly tries to innovate the most and where I think they look better but I think it is a waste to focus energy and improvements on it,, I don't care when someone uses them against me

Legal? If it can be "thrown" then it is legal. (Poker Stars have such an option).
funny? Yes, it's a lot of fun sometimes. Especialy with friends.
Disrespectful? It can also be disrespectful - especially when things are "thrown" before the time is up (time bank).
Boring? Sometimes it's very boring - especially when I don't feel like playing poker...
...

After all, "throwing" isn't something I don't like.

With that said, I would miss the chat function if it went away (especially in friendly CC games) but wouldn't miss the throwables at all.

I turned it off on the PC client and active on mobile. So, when I play for real money, I don't have the throwables. It's too much of a distraction.

The disposable ones I have excluded in my pc.
I don't like them, because really, if you were playing at a table with friends and you joke with each other, everything is fine.
But at PokerStars at least they are used for other things that I don't like.
If there is a rude player I also block him.

I've definitely seen some heated discussions in chat. BUT, on the whole we strive to be civil here and people who really misbehave in chat at CC games get reported and can be faced with consequences. I've played hundreds of CC games and have only seen a handful of really nasty chats.
