A lot can go into that.

Do you mean live as in a casino or live as in against your friends?

If you're in a spot you can print as a casino go get rich.
If you mean a home game with your buddies those are amazing spots to make money but usually your friends end up realising you're better than them really quickly if they always end up going home broke. I do think hosting or playing in home games is the best way to make a lot of money in poker these days but that comes with added stuff to worry about like cash handling and being conspired against or other shady business you wouldn't have to worry about in an official provider, online or in person.

Also stakes aren't the same online vs live so you can't just assume your online stake is the stake you play at live. 10NL online is better than most of the lowest stake tables they have at a casino dispute often being played for way more money. Compared to 1/2 live for example I think some tables of 10NL can be harder but losing a flip at 1/2 hurts a hell of a lot more. (I literally can't afford to play live because 3 buy ins is a months living expense at the smallest stakes where as a 3 buy in loss is a regular outcome for a day of poker)

It's all about finding your place in each discipline and then trying to find out what works best for you as an individual.

Hope this helps

For me its hard to concentrate. For example if you play long tournaments you need to drink, eat and visit toilet. If you smoke you need to think for that too. People can call you etc. So yeah I recommend to do everything done before playing long tournaments and concentrate on one thing.

I have the same problem, I think it's because being submerged there is less distraction, you can even see their reactions.

Ik ben begonnen met pokeren in het echt, maar nu ik online poker speel, vind ik het moeilijker dan pokeren in het echt. Ik weet niet waarom, maar in het echt ging het me veel beter.
Online is different, because a lot of people gamble more and win with the weirdest hands, too. Very frustrating. My advice: play tight. bluffing is done by others 😉

online poker is a game where luck is more important than skill. Therefore, if you are an experienced live player, online poker may seem like a crazy, unbalanced game. That's normal. But that doesn't mean online poker is bad or something to be avoided. Understanding how to play comes with experience.

In my opinion this can be summed up easily. The amount of players, which seems infinite and the fact everyone wants to win.

Variance is a ....MYTH.

One that corrupt people uses very often to justify their rigged systems.
Online poker is miles and miles and miles away from real poker. MILES.

There's absolutely NO randomness in online games. None. Zero.

Don't believe any of the "player level" bullshit people try to sell you, online poker is 100% rigged.
Its pure bullshit, garbage, slot machine, fraud, carefully called as "variance". kkkk

That's how they react to any CRYSTAL CLEAR rigged experience. They say: "Its variance" kkkkkkk That's all.
The rest is dog shit wrapped in cat shit.
If you believe this, then why do you continue to play online poker???

it's a lot easier. To start with, you don't have to leave home. You can play as many tables as you want. How many can you play live?

Why would it be complicated? :)
You have to study, stay in a good mental state.
I've been profitable at it for almost 2 decades, you don't even need talent to be at the intermediate level.

IMO they don't fold at low stakes online.

I have to adjust my game when playing online to exploit chasers who love their draws.

And yes, you can get wonderful physical and verbal tells in person.

I can give you a million reasons:

A). Online buyins are ALOT smaller for bigger wins - meaning people aren’t as invested

B) there sre loads of games available 24/7 so if you go out you can get right back in another - sometimes live games just have that and some cash games running people will play tighter

C)you don’t have to look people in the face when you call them with shit.
D) distractions - when you play live you are there and focus on the game, playing on phone /at home there are loads more distractions so people don’t play their best

E) online is a lot faster play. You see so many more hands - people don’t seem to grasp this the same time it takes to deal one hand live can be a whole round online - hyper are 3 min rounds - some live hands take longer to deal lol. You don’t get more bad beats it just feels that way due to the huge number of hands you see.

F) when you play bad players it’s hard not to start playing bad yourself. You don’t believe them and call light then you lose confidence and expect to lose and that has an effect just the same as winning makes you play better. Online play requires patience it requires experience and awareness of how much time you have your position, you might have 10BB but the chip leader might only have 17 when stacks get big, stay calm when everyone is going nuts. I never understand that bit when late reg ends everyone loses their head same when the bubble bursts. Let the crazy folk knock each other out, I assure you that idiot hitting miracles all in constantly will not win, don’t fall for it.

G) people give up, someone doubled up early on, then loose a hand and get took down to average and they lose it? When yeah they lost half their stack but still had 20bb! The times I win I’ve usually been knocked down to 5bb and held on a fought my way back up, All u need is a chip and a chair.

H) know what people think of you. And watch other opponents style of play, if that guy who hadn’t played a hand for 20 hands suddenly starts betting it’s usually coz he’s got it, look at the patterns, don’t LIMP from first. don’t slow play premium hands. Don’t Marry your blinds (they aren’t yours everyone pays ) and know when to fold, a good fold is what will win you more games than calls!

Play A B C to start stay consistent on one game at one level and master it. Win consistently and move up a level .

Which is why people think there are more bad beats online - but if you went hand for hand it would be the same it’s probability. Hyper games have 3 min rounds a live game wouldn’t even have dealt then 🤣
