This may surprise you, but I don't use Twitter or Facebook IRL either. :) When asked about this in the past, I've noted that one would not go fishing with steak or some other food we like as bait. We'd , of course, use bait the fish like. Similarly, our actions are focused on what politicians listen to, and our total ownership of social media has paid nice dividends.

The great thing here is that we don't have to use Facebook and Twitter IRL to participate in the action plan. Signing up for accounts to be used solely for the action plans is quick and easy, and I promise you won't have to post your vacation pictures on Facebook or tweet them out.

Sorry but no thanks. I want no connection to either. I hate the fact that facebook already has photos of me because of friends and acquaintances. Besides having already seen facebook used by the local police and against friends in family court. Social media, rather scratch my eyeballs out.

* Only thing I hate more on the internet than social media is smilies.

By used by the local police I mean showing up at a small gathering of 25+ yr old adults because of a facebook post by a younger sibling in high school about a party that she wasn't even part of. And for clarification Im 28 been into computers and the internet for more than half my life, everyone used myspace in high school and facebook in college but Im good thanks.

Thanks for your thoughts. We don't all have to use it. As long as a decent number of us are, we can make an outsized impact with it.

For anyone else with similar concerns, simply don't post personal stuff. I don't. You'll never see a picture of my wife on either site, for example. Nor will you see vacation pictures or stuff like that. I found that one can use the tools without any issues by simply being smart about it.

Not looking good for us though. But, hell, what do I know, I didn't withdraw from FTP or AP.

Hi TF,

I think things are looking the best they have since the day UIGEA became law and am optimistic about getting something done this year.

Done.

Seems like Reid having problems getting the Dems on board, never mind the Republicans who seem to be running scared of Adelson, the tribes and the so-called "religious" right.

There's jockeying for position, but I think we are better than a coin flip of getting this through this year. The threat of state-by-state legislation has really helped bring this into focus. That's why we're hearing so much about this issue. As we know..where there's smoke, there's fire. :)

Last week, the Justice Department approved the deal for pokerstars to purchase full tilt poker. Through this deal, PokerStars provided funds to cover all player balances at Full Tilt Poker.

The DoJ is currently establishing the process by which we U.S. players will request and receive our money. PPA requested and was granted the opportunity by the DoJ to provide a recommended path for repayment of U.S. players. Needless to say, PPA asked for repayment of 100% of player balances.

PPA will continue this dialog with the DoJ. We are seeking a streamlined process for application for remission. We are also advocating for clear processes to address withdrawals that were deducted from balances but never sent, bounced withdrawal checks, unused tournament tokens, FTP points, Iron Man Medals, etc. Non-cash items will be toughest, but we will do our part to make the requests through the appropriate channels. PPA's legal team will remain fully involved as the ‘voice of the player’ to ensure we are all heard throughout this process.

We can help ensure success of the PPA's efforts here in just 60 seconds!
  1. Let's recruit new participants by retweeting & favoriting today's #Fight4Poker action plan HERE and HERE, sharing it on our Facebook walls HERE, and sharing it via Google+ HERE.
  2. Let’s send prefilled, fully editable tweets to the Justice Department to tell them we expect the return of 100% of our balances: HERE and HERE. The disclaimer on their Twitter sites states that communication via Twitter is not recorded. That simply means they do not have to follow specific archiving requirements, not that these are not read, so please be sure to send these tweets today. Thanks!
  3. Let's keep making and liking pro-poker posts on the Facebook walls of the House Commerce Committee, Rep. Tibieri, and Rep. Rogers: HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Thought that bore repeating.

Weekend was done-forgot to post.

Today done.

So funny that eieio made fun of YOUR name. At least he apologized.

eieio

"Rich Muny"? That's cute.

Wonder if all the 900+ comments he's made there are so ignorant.
