With the groups that pushed for UIGEA seeking a federal ban on online poker and other online gaming (their letter to Congress is HERE), we ALL need to stand up and tell our lawmakers that we want them to support poker. Our opponents are pressing Congress for action, so our elected representatives need our letters in front of them:

This is my kind of thread. Being new to Cardschat, I'm still finding my way around. What I would like to find are the advocates that look at marketing aspects of poker to the at-large community.

Perception matters, of course. While some States have recognized poker as a game of skill, in the public's eye, large I think poker is still perceived as gambling.

Where can I find the official lobbying group for poker - if one exists?

I have a big picture point of view. I'm keen to look at poker as a business as such, poker needs a vision and mission statements to start, and then a strategic plan, where all of the stakeholders are doing their part.
