N.J. legislature likely to approve Christie's changes on Feb. 26

The New Jersey legislature will take up the changes Governor Chris Christie requested on the Internet gambling bill that he conditionally vetoed on Feb. 26, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Not wanting to be left out of the rush for online poker money, Pennsylvania State Rep. Tina Davis plans to introduce a bill that would regulate intrastate online poker in the Keystone State.



Under Rep. Tina Davis’ plan, current Pennsylvania gaming regulators would oversee the intrastate industry. Also, an Internet gaming license would cost $16.7 million.

She added that there would be a “reasonable tax rate” for the industry and that money from Internet gaming would go to the Property Tax Relief Fund and the State Lottery Fund.
