I will certainly join you on this mission to further our rights as Poker lovers! Everyone has their hobbies or favorite sport, why do they continue to treat us like a disease on capitol hill? We aren't betting the farm on a coin toss left to chance, we bet it on after an educated decision. Depending on the skill level of each player he or she decides the outcome of any given game, not lick but skill, and playing the game online or in a casino makes no difference!

My comment on the USA Today piece:

The method described is, for lack of a better term, a joke. It’s a also a political stunt.

Every player at an online poker table is positively identified, which is 99% of the battle in thwarting money laundering. Every hand is tracked. Every dollar in is tracked, and every dollar out is tracked. And, there’s no cash involved, as in a casino. As for the player risk, U.S. poker sites are mandated to use best-in-breed anti-collusion technology & surveillance. This technology has been refined in over a decade of use for licensed online poker sites in Europe. Identifying colluders who lose a great deal only to certain players at a table while playing well against everyone else is fairly trivial. And, once one would-be colluder is identified, the scheme would unravel very quickly, with all funds seized immediately and the would-be colluders facing felony charges.

The reality is that licensing and regulation is the way to go for money laundering detection and consumer protection. Prohibition is not the solution to the problem. Prohibition is the problem.​

How long do we have to fight for poker before it is legalize?

It's legal now in NV, NJ, and DE.

The fight isn't easy as there are so many entities involved who want (or don't want) legalization including casinos, tribal concerns, both state and federal government representatives, the lottery industry, horse racing industry, morality groups, regulation entities, and the players themselves (who don't always agree on what direction to take) to name a few.

It's been a long, hard road and not easy, but I think it's well worth fighting for.

I hope you will consider taking a few minutes each day to do the Poker Action Plan Rich Muny (TE) puts out everyday. He specifically targets the current, daily developments that need attention.
