Once again, poker shows how it is a democratic sport that everyone can play.
Check out the story of João Paulo Trindade

João Paulo Trindade shows us that, even in physical difficulties, poker can still be very important for its practitioners.
João Paulo has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and lives bedridden and under the care of his wife, Yara Prado. But despite the difficulties he faces during his daily life, one thing hasn't changed in João Paulo's life: he continues to play poker and gather his friends at his house.
With all the equipment connected, João has a computer and a speaker so that he can 'speak' his move and his friends hear it, a camera that transmits the table and, of course, many incredible friends so that he can join the party. His nephew and wife also help him to continue playing the sport, showing the cards received with each hand. João even shares in his personal profile some results in online poker and a lot of study of the game.

Jão Paulo has already had several results online, for example at poker stars, in the Hotter $22 contest, which had 4,368 entries, the Brazilian João Paulo Trindade took first place and received US$ 11,215.86

Joao Paulo Trindade is worthy of respect, doing what he loves despite the difficulties with his health. Close people will always provide support. Judging by his winnings, he studies poker harder than most.

In fact, with this life story of João Paulo Trindade we can say that poker is really a mental sport.

Nice story. Respect that he have friends that help him. I hope they do it to help him without to use him...

In fact there are enough stories how gambling destroys a life and a Family..enough people get from hero to zero, sure a few make the other way from poor to rich...but these stop after a big winning or get pros. In Germany most of the lottery winners sleep s now under a bridge. To get rich from one day to another seems to bring problems...if u never had money or don't have learned to save it turns your life around...and sure U have many friends when it get public that you're big winner...

I really hope that guy don't see the dark side ..of course I wish him the best...

Wonderful story! I myself am a disabled person (hearing impairment) and I know how important are the social inclusion politics and the friends who make sure to include us. Good example!

Social inclusion in poker (Brazil) is rising, breaking barriers and promoting diversity at all tables. Platforms like ff advance support equal opportunities, helping players from all backgrounds shine in Brazil’s growing poker community.

Family business in poker is great. The strong impetus for poker's popularity in Brazil has been largely provided by opinion leaders, celebrities and famous athletes who have publicly declared their passion for the game.Poker is becoming an effective tool to help overcome the negative perception of the gaming industry in Brazil.

This is amazing. Brazilians are such kind people. Personally I’m not very social, alas.
