It's $14 for many hours of MainEvent viewing enjoyment.

I had zero time to watch before today but was happy I was able to have the event live (with slight delay) on my TV screen.

$14.... use the Cardschat freeroll winnings for it. You folks are poker enthusiasts... right?

jareth3542 is still in it. I'm picking him for final table along with
Aldemir
(I just read an article on Aldemir, reading about how he had started out on Stars playing the Hubbles freerolls (lol.. those games had 10,000 entrants, paying the top72 and those ones only won an entry to another freeroll that played out on the weekend). He writes about the group of players he hooked up with via Skype chat group while playing low stakes and how one of them won the WCOOP MainEvent ('PlayingWasted'... 2013)

Yup, Aldemir is part of the young German crew that emerged to dominate the high stakes scene for a while...Aldemir, Holz, Volgelsang, Kempe and Nitsche. Then Hossein Ensan won the WSOP last year although he is a much more independent figure,

My two favorites are Ole Schemion and Steffen Sontheimer but you can argue they are all world class. The one obvious thing with Covid is how it essentially lowered everyone's profile, particularly in Europe where tournaments were completely suspended. So it will be interesting to see what happens with Koray Amdemir and then (as mentioned) the Prague EPT event around the corner. I am guessing most will attend.

A pity to see Chidwick go but I watched him play that massive bluff against Park (aces) and it felt like he had the self destruct switch on...just no real need to make the play.

I was really pulling for Chidwick...when I saw he was in the top 3 or so for awhile, I thought there is no stopping him now! But, apparently, from what I understand he was coolered one hand after another.

Yes, I was really hoping Chidwick would make it to the final table.

The semi bluff, which turned into bluff against Park is the first hand here in this clip of Chidwick. It sort of signaled he was going to push the envelope

I don't follow the live tourney scene much & rarely watch the play for the past few years but I still do follow the online stuff. I've watched many of these guys online for years now (I can remember when some of the guys who are now playing the HiRollers were playing $26 MTT's on FTP with me... ie. BigHuni.. or the $109's (ie. Paulgees81 Paul Volpe, TedsFishFry < Shaun Deeb) and many others.

That's too cool Poker Orifice...mine's the other way round!

Avid fan of the EPT before ever playing (followed by WSOP)...so never followed these guys online... but obviously familiar with Hunichen, Vople and Deeb.

Good luck to them all!

Absolutely correct. Ramon Colillas did take down the PSPC and he bagged 5 million dollars in the process. At the time he was portrayed as an amateur but it was not quite true...he had been playing the Spanish circuit as a semi pro looking to go full time pro. Making this deep as run in the WSOP also chows he has some real poker credibility.

edit...well I guess 5m bucks gives certain amount of credibility regardless!

Jeeze, I am running around and sporadically checking in and even I feel tense.

Down to 14, Kornuth got coolered and exited, Colillas has dropped down and Koray Aldemir still heading the field. Holmes went on such a heater after almost going out. Oliver is growing on me but they all seem likeable.

This is definitely a great main event.

Sometimes I manage to catch the broadcast of the world series of poker on Poker Go. It's a pity that they show only an hour for free. Well, at least we can see it this way.:captain:

Oof!

Down to ten and Koray Aldemir with 100 million plus stack followed by George Holmes.

Currently on break but will they play down to nine already?

So, down to the final nine and Koray Aldemir has almost twice as many chips as Holmes in second place ....140 million.

It's going to be really interesting to see if he can close this out. He has a lot of experience at an intense level of competition but it will come down to final table run good obviously. Great main event.

I was hoping for Kiriopoulos as well, given he is from canada. :)

He had a fantastic run, though and hope to see him back at the WSOP in future years.

I'm rooting for George Holmes. :)

George Holmes has a fantastic story...one previous tourney cash...at the WSOP 2019! So two in a row (technically).

Jack Oliver made his first trip to Las Vegas after free rolling a Grosvenor Casino tourney a few years ago as a student when he won an invite to another WSOP event. Under the radar somewhat but appears a solid player.

In fact I like final table such as this where you would be happy with any of the players winning.
