[Synopsis]

Seems most of these lists are confusing athlete, for someone who excelled at a sport. Phelps for example is on a lot of lists but he is awkward and clumsy out of the pool. Same with Brady, when did you ever see him being athletic? He is just a great mind and accurate arm.

Jim Brown was beyond exceptional at multiple sports. Jim Thorpe was the best player in the world at the time and he also won Olympic golds in decathlons, which is the mark of an overall athlete. Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player, great football player, and an amazing track athlete. Jesse Owens, Bo Jackson, and the likes, are complete athletes. Look at Simone Biles, what she does is as athletic as you can get, along with many many decathlon, triathlon, etc... athletes. Most people here just seem to be listing their favorite players.
