Cardschat NFL Fantasy Football League 2011-12

I just want to find out if we have enough people interested in having a fantasy league this season. I think I know someone who would run it - and I know of 4 people including myself who would play.

I personally prefer that it be a money league - maybe for $20 each.

You don't want to hold the draft too soon before season opening. Lots of guys get injured in preseason, or adjustments are made to rosters. I think opening day is Sept. 11, right? So you could even hold the draft a week before. So really you have about 3 weeks if you scheduled the draft for Sept. 3rd or 4th.

It won't be scheduled then cause I am out of town until the 7th. The 8th is really too late so it needs to be no later than the 30th.

(I am in 2 other leagues and the drafts for them are on the 22nd and 27th. I know of a few others too and none of them are waiting til Sept to draft)

We do have up to 2 weeks to get it done though.

What dates work best for you guys?

Here are our date options, let me know which ones DO NOT work for you. I'll pick the best one and schedule the draft. The draft will start at either 9PM or 10PM eastern standard time, to accommodate people on the west coast.

The league will be hosted at ESPN, with the following scoring system:



The key changes from standard are that interceptions and turnovers are heavily penalized (just like in real life football). -6 points for an interception, -4 points for a fumble lost. So this *will* affect quarterback scoring significantly.

Starting Lineups:

1 QB
2 RB
3 WR
1 TE
1 Team Defense
1 Kicker
4 Bench Spots

A shallow bench will make decisions on who to keep & cut more interesting, and it will also help ensure that there are more waiver wire options available during the season. This should make things a bit more beginner friendly.

Once we're ready to accept payments, once you pay your entry fee ($20), you'll be sent an email inviting you to the league.

Payout Settings (100% Payout):

Regular Season Winner: $30
1st & 2nd Most Regular Season Points - $30/$20
1st/2nd/3rd in the Playoffs - $60/$35/$25
