wouldnt it be cool to have a fight between the K1 champ and teh UFC champ?

K-1 is a very good Japanese MMA/Kickboxing promotion.. lots of great fighters, and some awesome fights.. plus they have a Super Heavyweight division (I'm a fan of Hong Man Choi). Great tournaments! But, a lot of the fighters that fight in there now wouldn't have much of a chance at a run at the UFC title.

Some great fighters fought (and still fight) over at K-1.. obviously, Semmy Schilt, as you posted.. Cro Cop also fought in K-1 at one point.

UFC is a little more action. It also goes al bit further than the K1 fights. I watched the Lesnar fight where he got the other guy on the ground and punched his face time after time. In K1 a ref would stop this.

btw Bas Rutten (also dutchman) was also UFC champ some time ago

Thats why i choose to whatch MMA and not kickboxing.
Also UFC are freeaking great promoters.
