By not playing Novak, which for me was a great candidate to win Australia. I think the winner will be between Daniil Medvedev or Alexander Zverev. those are my two great candidates.

Well, not only yours, the sports betting websites agree with you on this. But I wouldn't count out Rafa Nadal. After all, without Djokovic, he has a great chance to become the most successful Grand Slam player again by winning yet another title.

I just hope it won't be [emoji732]nadal[emoji732], is it obvious that they are looking through his fingers, and he is favored by the Australian government and the Minister of Sports!

And also he did not support his 'friend' Novak in the current situation. A scumbag man[emoji2961][emoji2961]

Medvedev or Zverev!!!

Medvedev or Zverev!!!

A childish comment - if you don't support Djokovic (in his idiotic position) you're a scumbag.

Maybe time for some self-reflection?

Perhaps it's attitudes such as this that make so many dislike Djokovic in the first place. There are reasons that Nadal and Federer are more popular in tennis than Djokovic will ever be.

I'd love Rafa to win the open at this point...highly unlikely...but, one can dream.

Just dream, Nadal could have supported Djokovic at least a little, but the selfish and jealous Nadal did not want Djokovic at the tournament, you can see by his statements!

And yes, Federer and Nadal appeared before Djokovic and got their fans, but when Djokovic came, most tennis fans already had their idols, so they had no choice but to be against Djokovic, not to spoil the dreams of their idols!!!

Why would Nadal support Djokovic when he doesn't agree with him?

What is with the whole victim culture surrounding Djokovic and Serbia? President Vucic made the stupid claim that if Djokovic was from another country the approach would have been completely different - childish victim culture. No it wouldn't. When Johnny Depp and Amber Heard tried to smuggle their dogs into Australia they faced a backlash and legal problems.

Part of the issue is so many appear to wrap national/cultural pride in Djokovic as he is one of the few Serbians known globally. Which is a shame he is not that well liked. However English people, for example don't walk around with their national identity wrapped around Adele being top of the charts or Lewis Hamilton being World Champion.

And for what it is worth, some 13,000+ Serbians have died from Covid with 1,400,000+ infected. I'm quite sure a large number of the victims families and friends do not agree with Djokovic and his anti-vax behavior.

Medvedev will win, it would have been another fantastic final between him and Djokovic, but now without the Serbian, Medvedev will past easily in my opinion.

After today's match, it was seen that they are setting up the Nadal title and that he have privileges, it is enough to read Denis Shapovalov's interview after the match!
And everything he said is true!

Nadal plays dirty and a corrupt referee supports him in that. Almost every match goes to the toilet when he feels that the opponent has caught the rhythm, and he is constantly late as soon as he wants to deconcentrate the opponent!

We all saw what happened in the 4th set, and on the break between the 4th and 5th!

Also, the referee was constantly late to activate the clock in time between points so that Nadal would have time for his sick rituals..

Medvedev is very very solid. Even 2-0 down to Felix, I was pretty sure he will win with 3-2 as his mentality is one or two levels above the other tennis players. His mentality is very close to the best one in tennis - Novak Djokovic. Overall, his style of play is very close to Novak and I am pretty sure he will win a lot of majors during his career. Very nice player to watch with a lot of different strong qualities.

Good morning.Nadal will have a great opportunity to break a record and win his 21st Grand Slam title.I think he can but it will be his toughest match in this Australian Open.Medvedev is in better shape than in the final they played in the US Open in 2,019.
