The fields are usually huge and early stages feel like pure chaos — lots of all-ins, random shoves, and players with nothing to lose. I’ve been trying two different approaches:
- Tight early, avoid coin flips, wait for value.
- Play more aggressively early to build a stack while people are gambling.
For those of you who regularly cash or go deep in freerolls:
- Do you adjust strategy early vs late stages?
- Is it better to play ultra-tight until antes kick in?
- How do you handle constant short-stack shoves?
- Do you think freerolls are actually profitable long-term or mostly good for practice?
Thanks and good luck at the tables! ♠️
