Think what exactly?? the fact that he went all in?? It must be a recreational player to go all in for 100bb after a pre flop 3bet.

Mathematically you should be calling of course. I don't think for 100bbs there I could ever fold unless I had a good amount of data/ hands on my opponent.

Really? We barely have the equity versus pocket pairs , which his presumably the majority of villains range. Maybe it's a call but breakeven at best surely?

I find the shove odd, it looks alot like JJ or AK so I would be fairly indifferent and think the fold is fine

I think against a 3 bed he has a pocket 10s or higher. Probably 10s JJ or QQ. So it would be a coinflip at best. If he has AA or KK you are way behind. So the fold is actually good, even if I personally probably would have call.

This is an uncommon line. Players of the field would’ve 4-bet, used polarized sizings, but jamming? BB is risking 100 BB in order to win a couple of dead blinds preflop with a bluff? Was it shoving AQ? JT? 88? Was villain tilted? Better to die out of curiosity than calling.
Even when villain displays 22 we are simply flipping, and tough the rake isn’t that high, it’s better to wait to a fair opportunity.
It requires discipline and wisdom to be folding AK in a spot like this.

Best regards;

Yeah, but mathematics is only one side of Poker. There’s the psychological side as you described widely in your book, Polished Poker.
And the algorithm way of thinking plus many other things.
And good that you are calling spots like this! When I see you at the tables (for you rarely play cash) I will jam versus your 3-bet range (because I know you have a huge 3-bet range, if what you say in your books and videos is true) for pure value.
I hope you call me having AK when I have AA.

Best regards;
