I bet aggressively with two pairs all the way to the river, and SB kept check-bet-call. Did I do anything wrong?

Honestly I don't know how often you get people to fold to your aggression betting this way with AK, AQ, AJ etc when you play at NL2. I haven't found it to be very effective if the person doesn't fold on the flop.

If the villain had a 2, is it likely that he would play slowly fearing that I had one or 2 threes? Or should I have folded when the flop didn't hit because I would lose to any pairs?

I don't think you can fold on the flop. You can improve to a top pair, a straight, or a full house by the river.

Maybe you could try smaller sizings to limit how much you lose in this situation, and especially when you don't connect by the river. I wouldn't keep betting half pot on the river.

This flop is pretty much a total brick, so you still stand to have the best hand a lot. But its not a hand, that want to play a bit pot, so I would mostly check back here and then look to play some later streets. If you do bet, the plan is to check any turn, thats not an A or Q.

Now you chop with any other AX, so the play here is definitely to check behind and try to get to a cheap showdown.
