So I was messing around with odds calculators and came up with something weird, it's a small thing that will never effect me I suppose, but I just don't understand that math behind it and it's really bugging me. If someone could set me straight I would be really happy:

FLOP: Kc Kd 8c
HAND1: Kh Qd 76.8%
HAND2: Jc 6c 23.2%

But when HAND1 holds one of HAND2's Jacks, we get

FLOP: Kc Kd 8c
HAND1: Kh Jd 72.9%
HAND2: Jc 6c 27.1%

So HAND2 improves by 4% if HAND1 holds a Jack. Why is that? HAND2 can never make a straight draw, and runner-runner full house will never work because HAND1 will always make a better full house. It looks to me like HAND2's only out is one of 9 spades, so what does it matter whether Hand1 has a jack or queen?

You need to look at it from the standpoint of what happens to the Kx hand when the flush card hits and you'll see why.

Ohhhhhh I get it, damn I'm dumb... if HAND2 turns the flush, now HAND1 is on the draw, and there's one less jack for him to catch to make his full. Thanks, I thought it was going to be something dumb but that is actually quite important I think!
