I would agree-but in tournaments there are even times when you should fold AA preflop. An example would be when it is at the final table and 3 people are already all-in and you are the only other person sitting down(payouts for 4th, 3rd, 2nd,) it is mathematically better for you to fold.

When the K came on the flop, I was 95% sure I was dead, or at least, drawing verrry slim.

Tourneys are a different animal, since survival is more important than in a cash game.

In the CC Costa del Poker freeroll today, 3rd hand, I got AA in early positon. Made a standard raise, got re-raised, re-raised him again.

Flop came with a K. Got him all-in on the turn holding, as I guessed, AK. Since this was a tourney, I didn't want to get all-in preflop, especially 3rd hand in.

That was against me, I played my AK pretty bad. One would think that the amount of times that I had got burned with AK that I would learn to play them a little more carefully. But alas I overplayed them and got owned.

However, it was a good example of how to get the most out of you AA, without necessarily getting all your money in pre-flop.

Sorry Shoe; notice I didn't mention any names. :)

Sometimes when I get AK I actually tell myself out loud "don't go broke with AK". Sometimes I listen, sometimes not.

Brunson says the good thing about AK is it's easier to get away from on the flop than AA or KK. That being said, you get AK a lot more times than AA or KK so you get more opportunities to lose with them too.

I see a conclusion, but no question? Of course you want to be allin preflop with AA, and the flop/turn/river is irrelevant. What exactly are we supposed to discuss? :)
