One of the big memes of the day today is this whole "6-7" bit where kids so bonkers saying it. I quite frankly am quite done with it...but I was wondering playing poker over the weekend where I saw a player go bananas playing 6-7 - spoiler - it didn't work out for them.

Have you noticed an increase of players playing 6-7 since this rage came on?

I have not, one of my little nieces asked me what 67 means, some boys at her school were saying it... she's 7,

I told her boys are goofy just ignore them... she rolled her eyes and said "I know"😅👍

I will be honest, since I heard of the meme I have played the hand a few times, I even hit a full house on the flop twice...
Though, on the one hand, He called with AK and the turn and river cam A-A giving him a higher full house.
Sick.

It is funny how these things work. Most of these players probably think they are being clever or ironic but they are just bleeding chips. If this trend keeps up 6-7 might become the new 7-2 in terms of people trying to make a hero play for no reason.

To my knowledge this 6 ,7 crap is Gen Z .
Gen Alpha probably doesn't know about it ^^

Fortuntely not.
I feel I am getting old because I get constantly annoyed by the antics of Gen Z 😅

That's just how poker is.

You play 449 hands with 67 or similar and lose shamelessly and completely. Three minutes later you've already forgotten about it.

Then you win one hand with 67 and enshrine that play on the throne of your heroic memories forever.

And every week you go there and make a deposit into your account while the players who play solidly make withdrawals.

Hey there, actually I would say, it is either true what you have observed(which is not provable), but thena again: maybe he just likes to play for a straight; or it is selective thinking, which is simple to test: try to put your focus on any other two cards of your choice, like 39 or AT whatever. And maybe you will see that when you put your focus on these exact cards, they will appear more oftenly.
But if course, whenever there is a trend like this which goes around the world, it is also always possible that people laugh their asses off playing 6-7 the whole time.
