I prefer 9 player tables
because its a few more hands between paying blinds
(call me cheap)
I do play at 6 handed tables and I loosen up
at 6 handed tables I think king high is a good starting hand compared to 9 handed where I think k high is likely to be a weaker starting hand
what I really like to play is 9 handed limit

Hi There
I prefer 9 players tables
The 6 or 2 doesn´t give you much options to bluff or see the others hands

i don't really play cash but if you are going to play cash you probably want a 9 handed table since the hands will be weaker and the action faster....

I think I perform better in 6 max tournaments since it lends itself ot my natural style of play...9max tournaments are a little frustrating because they can be like cash games in style of play….

6max or 9max

Good afternoon everyone
I play mtt with 9 and 6 players per table, but I feel a lot better playing 6max.
Today 02/08/2019, I played a mtt 6max on Bet365 site, with only 58 players on the fild and I finished 1st, I'm very happy with how I played controlling the emotional and having a good read of the lips, the mtt 6max provides this, play more hands.
I have been playing poker for a very short time and I am experiencing my progress. I am very happy, but at all times I was at little risk of being eliminated.
I like 6max 60%, and 9max 40%.
I don't know if you agree, but in my opinion the more experienced a player is the more he prefers to play with fewer players at the table.

if you are a begginner then it's better to play on 9 max to just learn basic things.
if you want to be a cash game player and take it seriously then soon or later you will have to go to play 6max, because on higher limits 9max are pretty dead. So it's better to start 6 max from beggining.
if you just play for fun- play 6 max. More action more fun. So simple.
9max are pretty dead imo for regular games. It could have only sense maybe on nl2.

I prefer to play at a nine seat table. But I've noticed lately, on multiple sites, that there never seems to be anyone playing at the nine seat tables. All the action is going on at the 6Max tables. There is usually a nine seat table with a single player sitting out, I guess waiting (or hoping) for more players to join. Last week I did see three players join a table where a single player had been sitting out, presumably waiting for more players. I joined, making it five players. But the player who had been sitting out at the table before the others joined never did sit in. So, in the end, it amounted to 4 handed play at a 9 player table. I figured once four or five players were seated the table would fill up. But it never did. Instead the four handed action lasted about ten minutes before players started leaving the table. Once it got down to the point where I was playing heads up at nine seat table, I figured I might as well sit at one of the 6Max tables.

Hello

I feel more the merrier.
More players on a table is more action in a cash game.
In a tournament I feel 6 max is good.

I think 6 players for table give more active actions because may open with more wide diapason and can use exploitation style, and more possibilities for bluff...:icon_joke

Used to prefer 9, but more strategy and positional play in 6 so that's what I prefer now.

6 or 9. That is the question. I think the 9 player tables cash are slowly dying. However they are usefull just for MTT practice. So, no matter what you play, you will end up playing 6 or 5 player tables.

I prefer smaller table. Sometime 6 max is too slow for me and I want HU table.
If I’m feeling mellow and patient I will do full ring.
In the casino. All I see is full ring I wish there were more 6 max. Tables

6 definitely. It's more of a post flop game.
