How do you handle aggressive opponents at the table?
For me, aggressive players really step on my nerves sometimes and feel like I am losing patience and focus. Probably the key is timing - well-timed raises or re-raises and wait for the right moment to strike back. But still...
What are your insights and strategies to deal with overly aggressive player at the table?

Bide your Time! be prepared to be aggressive back on them when you have a monster hand, and always be willing to shove All-in if pushed, I was playing a Friendly Cash game at my Local Pub with .25p and .50p Blinds and everything was going well until a new player joined and started raising to £4 and £5 on every hand, Pre-flop.
I had played against him at other Pubs so I knew how aggressive he was, So I slowed down, Folding connectors and suited Ace rags and waited, Then I was dealt K/K and I limped in knowing he would raise, Sure enough when it got around to him he Raised to £5, When it was folded around to me I instantly Shoved All-in with £30 in chips, He tanked for while and then showed his cards as he folded A/ 7 off saying "I would have called, had they been suited" I showed my Kings saying "You could still have beaten me, I only had a Pair" but this was enough to tell him to back off or you are going to receive what you are trying to sell.

To have tons of patience. If it doesn’t work, to switch tables and look for one with more passive players.
But one strategy I use versus aggrotards is to be very passive: just calling, never raising, and like a cold blood murderer, wait for the player to hang himself using his own rope.

The previous answer is great! Patience and only patience. If it is possible (by cards and the number of chips), just call and wait for the player to fall into the trap.

Don't try to out aggression the super LAGs UNLESS you are willing to risk a big chunk or all of your stack with a marginal hand. Normally the calling station type of play is bad but against these guys it's fine. No shame in calling with hands that have showdown value.

That said, on days when you are just missing the board, it's best to leave the table if the super aggro guy is on your left.

An important thing is to distinguish between aggro guys who will nevertheless fold if they think they are beat and maniacs. Against the first group it is ok to try some moves. Today I was able to win a few pots by floating the flop and check raising the turn with air to rep big hands cuz I was just not getting many playable hands and when I did get good hands I was missing the board again and again. Against maniacs who thinks ace high has you beat though, it's best to practice pot control so it's not too expensive to call his river bet.

most often I call them if I have a monster. When a pair of aces come in, for example, I will always push them regardless of the position.

Hi.
My strategy for playing against aggressive opponents is that I just continue to patiently wait for good cards. I don't give in to provocations, and thanks to this, aggressive opponents are always a good opportunity for me to double my stack :)

Ah, the roaring lions of the poker kingdom! When faced with an aggressive opponent, channel your inner ninja turtle. Put on a bandana, grab a slice of pizza and embrace the power of turtle stealth. Slowly retreat into your shell, leaving them wondering what happened to you. Then, when the time is right, emerge with a calculated strike that will make them question their life choices. Remember, patience and timing are your ninja weapons. And hey, if all else fails, maybe challenge them to a pizza-eating contest to distract them from the game.
Cowabunga, my friend!

It's simple, you need to catch him on the bluff and understand that he can not always have a strong hand. Catch your strong hand and take his chips.

Sometimes an aggressive player is a good catch, but only if we are patient and play at the right time and the right position

this is the easiest prey for me, I just wait for such a player and eat him when the time comes to the end that he is already out of the tournament and cries why did I act so much aggression and all such players should not really make it through the tournament because they fly out quickly for a frequent

It's ok to just call with medium strength hands. Widen your calling range. Do NOT raise with medium strength hands unless you are willing to stack off. Otherwise you are just building the stack for him to make you call a big bet. Totally ok to let him raise the pot for you if you have a medium strength hand.

It's ok to raise. But raise with a polarized range. Either a big hand or garbage. But if you raise with garbage, be ready to just give up OR stick it out to the end. You gotta have the heart to fire multiple barrels because these guys prey on weakness when they sense it.

When your patience finally pays off and you trap him and take his stack. It's a very funny moment.

In this case of having an aggressive player on the table, I play with patience and wait for the right chance to play aggressively.

it's all just a couple of right moments you wait you play correctly you don't give in to his style of play and he sits without a stack!
