Hey guys some info about me,
I've played some home games, won some money and decided to try my luck on the internet. Despite everyone always telling "new players" to not play zoom. I decided to start to play some zoom (2NL). I'm currently 8.2k hands in, and I am currently a winning player. 15,8 bb's/100.
My questions;
is 8,2k hands a good enough sample size?
Is 15,8 bb's/100 good enough for someone who just started?
Is 15,8 bb's/100 good enough to go up (to 5nl)
Should I play on "normal" tables instead of zoom? I think I like zoom more because I haven't bought a HUD yet. I'm hjust trying PT4 and HM2, but without hud I think it is better to play zoom...
Also any tips on training content. I don't like books, I've read a bit, but I highly prefer video's / streams. I'm currently watching/have watched :
Youtube: Jcarver(Jason Sommervile), Gripsed, xxFlix
Twitch: Staples, xxFlix, xcy4nk4li
Any suggestions?
In reply to your questions.
8.2 k hands is not the largest sample size in the world but if you have a positive win rate then that's a good thing.
15.8 bb/100 is great for someone who just started but i don't know if you can keep it that high over a larger sample. great job though.
its not your win rate that will dictate whether your ready to move up limits. Its your bankroll. If you have 30 buy ins and above, shot taking might be a good idea if you feel like you can beat the limit your currently playing.
I like zoom tables cause of the volume. I know most people will say that normal speed tables are softer but i guess at the end of the day its your choice.
