In NL2 I found people who prefer regular tables and other zoom.
I still haven't decided which modality to play, although I think that at regular tables the opponents can easily study my way of playing.
What opinion do you have? And why do they prefer one modality and, more importantly, why don't they prefer the other?
Thank you so much!!

Regular tables are much better.

More fish and easier to build reads on your opponents.

Many prefer ordinary tables (they seem to feel more comfortable there). You have to find out where you are best, where you win. Yes, they will understand your playstyle, but you will also understand theirs, and pretty quickly.
Personally, I don't feel good at the regular tables - I feel like I'm falling asleep, I miss the action. It's too slow for me.
Regarding "zoom" junk folds up pretty quickly, and new hand is dealt, the opposite of regular tables (if a full ring is played it's a big pain for me). Also, the players are not that many (at zoom), after a certain time you get to know each other. There are always familiar faces, and new ones come, of course, just like at the regular tables. Each has its advantages and disadvantages (at least for me).
You choose, i thank you too!

Zoom is also called “quick fold” and “fast game”, for one simple reason: 1 table of Zoom = 3 regular tables running at once.
We are paying blinds 3 times more and one way or the other we must be loose, 3-bet/4-bet way more often.
If we play too much tight (NIT) we are losing tons of blinds in Zoom tables.
Not saying that Zoom is bad or that you shouldn’t play it, but you must have 3 times more bankroll to play Zoom comfortably.
If you are starting to play, I would strongly recommend for you to play regular tables before risking zoom. Once you feel you are easily beating regular tables, then move to zoom.
We can have tremendous winrates playing zoom (30-50/100 BB), but the losses, variance and rake will also be in the same proportion of our winnings.
Have a solid mindset and a good bankroll management if your intention is to dive into Zoom tables.

Zoom all the way, far more profit to be had and of course you tally the hands up for the cash races far quickly. Session I just finished in the pic, Single buy in of $50 no rebuys as i only get it in against shorter stacks or with AA pre.

I disagree with everything you are saying here. You are not paying/playing more blinds, your simply playing more hands. You fold you go to another table with another hand. It favours quick thinkers and those that wish for faster pace. There is no increase or additional loss through/of blinds.

What’s up Kon, nice to see you around. Hope you are doing fine!
It’s good that you disagree for this enriches our forum.
And yes, we are playing more hands faster than one single table. I might be wrong on my numbers, but it we open 1 table of cash we are paying x blinds and when we open 3 tables we are paying 3x blinds and so forth. Ergo, 1 table of zoom = 3 regular tables, we are paying more blinds compared to just one table.
Glad to see you here, eager to read your answer!

Peace

I would play regular tables, as the speed is different compared to zoom. Presumably after an hour of zoom you stop thinking and automatically wait for the next table

I think it's the same thing, the only difference is that ZOOM is faster and it allows you to play more hands per hour.

Hello friend, if you are starting to play cash tables I recommend that you start at regular tables there you can read how the regulars play and people who are not, if you are already playing cash and you like action and speed I recommend Zoom, but the zoom tables are more difficult than the regular tables, there are many people who are regulars at zoom, I hope I have helped you, regards

I like them both, but I play more in the regular, because I can control my stack better.

start with regular tables and if the result suits you and there are not enough tables, switch on the zoom

i couldn't play normal cash tables , the action is too slow . ofcourse if you play other games at the same time or other cash games then its no problem . i saw many colluders , people leaving the tables very easily as soon as a shark joined or when rng stopped paying them . i got disgusted by this .
