does anyone Multi table cash and sit n go's at the same time?

I've heard of people doing it. I try to avoid it myself because cash game play tends to be somewhat different from tournament play. Strategies tend do differ from one to the other. If I multitable, I rather it to be games of the same type. For instance, I prefer to play three or four NL S&Gs or multiple cash games at a time then to mix NL games with limits games, or be playing PLO and NLH games at the same time, or even play an MTT while I'm involved in a cash game. Note that I did say prefer. I won't claim never to have done it, or not to do it from time to time still.

I generally only play cash but last night played a few tournaments as well and my only comment is that when deep in one on the tournies my chip count was obliterated by AQ against my AK and I went out soon after after nearly 2hours and just before the bubble. Tilting slightly I began playing more spewy on the cash tables. Because i play a lot of cash I handle suckouts and coolers much better as I auto reload and just carry on. So playing tournies and cash for me is not a good idea as tournies totally put me on tilt.

I dont mix games. Like intenseheat said, the strat is different, and I prefer to not have to switch between mindsets. It enough to have to adjust on each table due to such a variety of players.

I also find that, a majority of the time, players who are doing this are generally bad.

During the week since the competition is much harder on cash games, i'll replace a table with a tourney... Just started to try and play the 10fpp tourneys

This I think Is possibly why alot of players avoid it,
or even if your a sit n go reg,
if you lost your buy in at a cash table to a bad beat it would be pretty harsh to take on board I would possibly go on tilt

I play cash games and MTTs a the same time, but not SNGs. I separate tables on the screen (MTTs left, cash right) so I don't get confused.

Funnily enough, I mostly autopilot MTTs and focus on cash yet results are kind of opposite

guess micro MTTs are pretty soft.

I definitely play both at the same times sometimes. When a MTT comes up that I want to play I dont leave my cash games, normally, to play it. Althought on Bovada you can only have 4 cash game and sit n go tables open so it just depends.

I think Multitabling cash and sit n go's at the same time is a very bad habit. You are more likely to make mistakes.

I multitable tournaments and sngs sometimes because the style of play isn't massively different but I think cash and sngs would be too difficult trying to play two very different playstyles at once

i prefer 6 man turbo/regular but i also like to sit down at a 50/1$ nl ring game, once u get a couple good hands in the ring game, ur also not playing to crazy in the sit n go which is good

Playing style can variate a lot over the tournament. At time I am a lot tighter or looser than I am on cash tables. Playing a mixture of both at the same time takes a lot of concentration.

Never. Tournament strategy is nothing like cash strategy so I'd have to switch between two really different sets of assumptions.
