Floating cbets on multiway flops with Middle pair or lower

What's your opinion about floating cbets on boards where you have the second pair or your pair being overcarded etc when the aggressor is betting into multiple opponents?

Does it depend on the V? Your position? The kicker??
Obviously board texture comes into play. So what'd you do on dry boards & wet boards?

Is floating the flop in such scenarios can be profitable?

I'd like to hear the general opinion about this.
