How long does it take to climb the stakes?

I was wondering how long it actually takes to start from the 1c/2c and climb your bankroll/skills up to the medium stake games. Obviously it's going to be different depending on how fast you learn things but I just want to know how long it took for some people vs others.

Play at each limit until you have 30 buy ins for the next level. So if you start at $2NL you should deposit about $60.

Once you get your bankroll up to $150, you're ready to start playing $5NL.

If you're a good, winning player, this works. If you're a losing player, it doesn't.

Ok, I go, in chronological order, hand number additive by previous levels:
2NL 9max break even 5200 hands
Random shit 5k hands
4NL 6max party, break even 22k hands
2NL 6max zoom, break even 10.5k hands
5NL 6max zoom, break even always 145k hands
10NL 6max zoom, first try 20k 5NL hands, 2nd try 120k hands, I remember there was third try too, but can’t figure when
10NL 6max zoom, profit: never, 21k hands, -9bb/100
Summary: 313k hands, bb/100=0.87, AI adjusted 2.8bb/100, current level NL5, approximated next try for 10NL about 20-40k hands.

It took me 2 years starting at 2nl and I ended at 25nl with a $1330 BR and that was at FF and then they close up and take all our money with them. Now I'm right back where I started.

Ur buy ins will determine when you can move up can't have success at the higher levels if your not winning at the lower levels

Patience, make sure you are winning at your current level then move up when you have the bankroll.

well this and this are are numbers given buy blackrain79 so no personal input and you'll have to adjust the played hours and win rates to your exp. and lets say you are following the 40buyins rule and have the requierd 40$ for nl2.
This tables gives you the abbility to calculate how much and fast can you do.
Just doте be over zealous. In the exampkle I gave you you can think than going from nl2 to nl5 will take a month. The reallity is that everyone i different and what takes for exmp me a week will take you a day and vice versa.

How much are you playing? If you're playing well and winning, if you play 1000 hands per day. you could expect to move up every month.

Not everyone manages to be the cache in the profits. Stable profit in general is very hard to be. I raised from $ 20 to $ 150 and then began to lose bankroll. After that I do not play more on the cache.

It takes how ever long it takes,some longer than others its just to open a question to figure out. But I will say that hanging around the lower limits will leave you with some bad leaks that you will have to work harder to fix once they are a part of the game you play.

i think if your asking this question i think stay at 2nl as long as you can.. faster u rush up the quicker u will lose.. patience and learn the game.

Aggressive management: Always up your limit, when you reach 20 buy-ins (1 buy-in = 100 big blinds) until NL25 (0,10$/0,25$), 40 buy-ins for NL50, 60 buy-ins for NL100 and 100 buy-ins for NL200.

Common management: Always up your limit, when you reach 50 buy-ins until NL25, 70 buy-ins for NL50, 100 buy-ins for NL100 and 150 buy-ins for NL200.

Move Down: You should do this when your BR is sufficient to play the previous limit.
