Hello friends, I would like to compare my profits with more experienced players and see if I am progressing well, let's make a parameter with 1k hands in cash games micro limits NL2, what would be an acceptable profit? Anyone who answers can help me a lot if my effort is worth.

Profit is profit just concentrate on making good decisions and the wining's will take care of themselves.It's all going towards building your bankroll and moving up the stakes as you learn.It's all worth it in the long run.

1k is too small of a sample. the old wisdom used to be 10k is a decent sample size, but in modern thinking, some players think that 10k is not a big enough sample size and that 100k is more of a real sample size.

I agree with metagame, dont worry about profit. especially if your sample size is only 1k hands.

99% of the time, anything above 6bb/100 hands is running hot.

profits doesnt directly related to the hands you played. mostly your investment in bankroll and hours your played. also your daily limits in gaining or afford to loose is also directly involved in any decision. thats my opinion and I guess lot of experienced players can give you more and better ideas.

i played 200 hands today and profited 6 bucks so that's....150bb/100? pretty much means i got lucky on two hands haha

$ Profit is not as important an your bb/100. If you have a positive winrate after say 10,000-15,000 hands then you are probably a winning player. Sometimes it can take a bigger hand sample to know for sure. 50,000+ is probably best. The bigger the sample of hands the more confident you can be. Focus on your winrate. The profit takes care of itself.

If you have an ok win rate (1-3bb/100) then about $0.40, if you have a good winrate (4-6bb/100) then about $1, if you have a great winrate (7-9bb/100) then about $1.60, and if you're absolutely crushing (10+bb/100) then about $2+.

But here's the thing, 1k hands is a TINY sample size. A ton of variance exists at that hand amount. 20k is the minimum before being able to tell if you are doing OK or not and really you'd ideally want 100k hands. 50k is the first benchmark though. At that amount you will know pretty closely what your actually winrate will be. 1k hands is small enough that randomness just dictates whether you win a lot or lose a lot essentially

It really depends on how much you’ve lost, how many games you’ve played, and how many games you’ve won.

As mentioned 1k hands is just far too small of a sample to determine anything in poker. I recommend 20k hands to start saying anything, 50k hands to get a decent idea of your results and 100k hands to be certain.
