Haha 2NL is so dumb. Its close as your equity will be close to 50% as your overcards are live some of the time. Depends what he is shoving tho, if its only sets then not all our outs are clean. If its straights then some of our outs are chops. But its more likely to be good but vulnerable overpairs where we probably have the equity. Sometimes he is shoving a combo draw himself that we dominate so overall its probably a sigh call

This is a very good point as in a "normal" poker game this spot probably wont come up. Or at last should not 😅 so its probably pointless to analyze this too much.

Decided to let it go because there was almost nothing in the pot and was not in the mood to gamble against his likely overpair as i was only playing a few hands to release the pp ticket.

Yes I think, this is really the main point. Rake also needs to be taken into account, and all in all the spot is probably so close, that it does not even matter much either way. I do think, there is a little bit to analyse preflop though, since I kind of prefer to squeeze. You have position on the broken stack in SB, and CO likely dont have a strong hand, since he just min-raised. In a microstakes cash game thats sort of the new limping in my opinion, unless the same player always use this sizing.

Preflop 3 way pot if we call- we have a good 3 way hand-- player used small sizing so easy call most of the time--
So before we call, we want to do a quick range build for each player. Is this a standard size or smaller than standard?
If smaller is that stronger parts of range? Is it pot builder part of range? etc etc
SB calls what is their range?

We want to understand ranges so that we have the opportunity post flop to win the pot without making a hand.

Example SB top of range for calls board comes 654--- 1 heart --in the BB this is or board, not SB board so we would lead on this flop expecting to win this hand on turn very often even though it is 3 way--versus villains that can fold- if no foldem then no bluffem

Flop flush draw 2 overs and a gutty vs V that can fold we will be winning here very often- do they fold over pairs to max pressure?

SB checks what is their range now? Do they know they should be leading this board so % of the time?

you check Opener shoves cool this is an easy 1-Get Equilab for free put in a range for the V and look at your equity if it is high enough call and win or lose and then take a note and rebuy immediately.

Cardschat has an odds calculator if you want to estimate your chances you can just enter AA KK KQs etc etc and get an basic idea but equilab lets you do the full range 2 pairs sets overs etc etc then calculates your overall equity

Take the time to think about what they would not shove based on how unlikely they would be called- why shove a straight or any set then take those out of the range- do make sure to add in 9xhh hands K-Q-J T even 98, again though think about the preflop strat are they opening 98hh for 1 bb more?

How many hands do you have to play to release the path ticket?

Ive been faced with this kind of hand more times than i care to imagine when playing live and i can share that in 90% of the times - i have called and if i was to look back at my hand history, i am pretty sure in most cases - the all in had either a set or JJ better over pair.
So much information not at hand here and it would be table and player specific - that said - i have sat down cold at a table and been placed in this position before - the board offering my nut flush and possible gutshot straight opportunities with the real option that my 10 and A may alone be live cards - tough fold and i accept there was nothing in the pot for players to let it go - but this pirate would call.

So any 8 or any hearth it works for you but your probably against a pair like Q or j or T, the vilan will not protect on this table pairs of K or A, at most AK, AQ but that will be risky for him. that would be a semi bluff

In this kind of spot, we usually lean toward making a 3-bet or a squeeze preflop rather than just flatting, even though the odds are pretty sweet to call. The main reason is that we’re out of position and we really don’t want to play a 3-way pot. Plus, our hand (A♥ T♥) has more than enough equity to 3-bet here—either for value or as a semi-bluff. We’ve got blockers to the aces and tens, and unless the CO is a total nit, taking the aggressive line preflop makes perfect sense.
Now, this flop jam from the villain can mean a bunch of different things. It might be an overpair they already had preflop—something like JJ, QQ, KK, and only a few combos of AA or TT. Or it could be one of those suited connectors that smacked the board hard. Even though ripping it all-in with a straight on the flop doesn’t really make sense in theory, we’ve gotta remember we’re playing NL2, and a lot of what people do in this field just doesn’t add up.
Another possibility: the villain hit a set and decided to jam to “protect” against the heart draws—again, not exactly the most logical play.
Given our flop texture, we’ve got a gutshot to the straight and the nut flush draw. If the villain has an overpair (JJ+), we sit around 43% equity. If they’ve got one of the possible sets, we’re down to about 33%. And if they somehow have T8, we still hang around 37% equity.
Bottom line: with the villain shoving the flop, we’d need close to 50% equity here to seriously consider calling it off. Considering this is NL2, the long-term profitable move is just to fold. You’d need a ton of info on the villain—like knowing they shove garbage on the flop regularly—before taking a gamble in a spot like this.

If the villain really had T8, wasn't shoving the most logical move to protect against a heart draw?

I would guess here, but probably hero has better hands, but opponent gets there somehow. It feels a classical one.
