In recent years, I've seen many famous players leave the online cashgame tables, such as trueteller, llinusllove or Otb_RedBaron.

Does this mean cash game tables are no longer profitable?

Hello,
cash games are still profitable if you employ correct strategies.
Poker in overall is not as easy as it was 10+ years ago.
If that's what you meant.
Now you need to study and play a ton, to stay
ahead of the game.

True, though if you'd play with same players SH for many days using optimal strategy, you should be in win at least every 1 in 6 times.
