With AAxx if I can get like...I think its like atleast half of my stack in before the flop I'll do it, but most of the time I can't. I would raise this hand from late position, I don't really like raising any hands from early position or in the blinds.

Well the way it works is that you need to be able to be able to shove all the chips in on the flop without having to reraise etc. So if we can get like 35bb*** in preflop (ie big 4 bet/5 bet we the case me be) we do it. So you need to access the situation and sometimes the best way would be to just call an open raise from someone else in the hope that someone in later position 3 bets so you can 4 bet etc. Now I actually 3 bet AAxx a lot usually in position and also because I 3 bet a ton of hands and thus my range is fairly balanced. If you are going to 3 bet AA you need to be 3 betting a lot of other hands so it is not obvious.

oh so i guess i m too frightened by the fact i ve possible flush/straight draws and i would have only to rely on a top set in the best situation
but mostly i ve read many articles and if i m right there is a part in supersystem 2 where it s advised to not to overplay such hands. However as i said i m a beginner

That first hand you posted was crazy. I just have to ask - whole stack on 9 high flush draw and top pair? I can't imagine your variance.

I think checking the river was pretty understandable.

I do lose my mind from time to time. No seriously, I cant justify it. We had been tangling a little bit and I did stack him earlier with a 13 card wrap and FD against a set but he had c/r me quite a few times so I took a chance here but obviously it was wrong. Btw the reason for doing it with the 97s is that if he has a FD and is just semi bluffing., I have blockers and if he has a had like he had, I have outs. It looks worse than it is tbh but w/e. And yes I do think he is doing it with a bare fd sometimes.

I would here, u r OOP, only broadway potential no fls, and if CO is 3 betting with AA (depends on his play but a good guess normally), your outs for the str8 are diminished and naked Qs are dominated. Fold I would.

I wouldn't even open that hand from first two seats anyway... queens just aren't that good.

I'd need the T to be a J and it to be double suited to want to open it from EP.

And even then I'm not super thrilled about it..that's just a hard hand to play oop in almost all situations.

It does depend a little on the table though.

You raise! If there is one thing PLO will teach you is to get value in when you are this much ahead ALWAYS. And you you buy yourself a fold then that's good too. On this dry board you have the nuts, protected, with villians only having a few clean outs assuming they have any real outs at all.

A pot bet is almost certainly good, and will likely fold at least one player. If they both call, congrats.

There is no better thing in poker, regardless of game, that a person who is willing to ship a lot of money in pre and postflop. You kinda have it backwards, you dont want to find a game where people are tighter etc, you want the games were people are 4 betting junk and shipping lots of flops.
