professional poker player.. what does that mean really?

I think just cause you are a winning player you can not say you are a professional poker player. I think that if you have someone backing you and giving you money that isnt your money to gamble with and expect a return from winnings then I think a "professional" poker player label can be warrented.

I think you will find that most "professional" poker players are either broke or living life near minimum wage. Being a pro doesn't mean you are making any money.

I have a couple buddies that play live "professionally" as in that is there only source of income, however they are playing higher stakes..One is at 2/5, two of them play 5/10 and 10/25 and then one plays 10/25, 25/50.

When I play live cash its usually 2/5
