With deep stack I shove only Aces and kings. Queens are too weak to go all in because it will be called with better hands only. I really don't expect jakcs or AQ to call an all-in with deep stacks.

I would just call any raises because it might appear kings/aces in the flop

I sometimes 4 bet bluff with A5 or AT suited so It doesn't always mean if you get 4 bet that he's always got AA although this time he did. So try 5 betting if you're really deep and if you get called then seriously think about folding after the flop especially if there's an A or K. Personally I hate playing JJ or QQ I'd rather play suited connectors BTW nice fold I always go broke lol

We cannot fall in love with the queens. We're not married to any 2 cards.

Depends... Position, Rivals... But in most of the cases it worth a preflop raise.

when I have QQ, I look at the opponent's stack and my current one, if it is not very large than his, then I support the all-in. since often these guys just push with the stack, with not top pair.
It's worse when a short or roughly equal stack pushes, then sometimes you can fold.

It all depends on who you're playing against.

It depends on many things how to play QQ. Mostly it depends on whatn stage of tournament is playing and how i feel this pocket but ussually i think aproximatelly 50% i play all in preflop.

Not the best card. Like KJ. But it's hard to reset.

FOLD

Hi, first it depends a lot on the game you play, but really in micro limits it's a pretty easy and obvious fold. there is not too much bluff at those levels, the opponent when he makes the move all in, his range is composed of AA, KK, and AK relatively (which is made 50/50 against our hand) therefore we have a very easy fold

how do you play it ?

do you go all in preflop with it when you are not short stacked ?

once in a real life game I build up money and then I got QQ and a guy raised preflop and I reraised him and he immediately said "All In" and then I thought about it and said that I have a monster but I folded in the end and he showed aces . so I made the right decision but I have seen pros on youtube push all in preflop with it

I find QQ to be the hardest hand to play in a cash game to be honest

I think QQ depends on the table size, opponent(s), action and stack depth. If you're in a full ring 100bb deep and there's a four bet in front of you then it's an easy fold, but in a 6 max at 50bb or less blind versus blind it's much closer as your opp *should* have a wider push range than just AA and KK.

As far as pros pushing QQ it probably has to do with the stakes. My understanding is at 100nl or higher you'll see wider 3-bet ranges, which leads to wider 4-bet ranges, which leads to wider all-ins. If your opponent is capable of 4-betting bluffing they have more hands that will fold. Just an example of the way wider ranges affect the overall strategies at each stake.

For me, playing QQ or even JJ for that matter, it all depends on position and how the table has been for the last few hands overall. Based on what you described, it sounds like a difficult fold but a fold that needs to happen.

Many times when I am in these situations, I do not reraise preflop if the initial raise was enough for my liking as then I am showing to be more passive and having a wider range of playing cards. Last night for instance, I was UTG+1 and had JJ so I raised preflop, was reraised by CO with 9 players on the table but we were now ITM with 30 players in the tourney left. He did not jam as he was 2nd in chips where I was about 20 in chips. I could have jammed back but I called and flop came AQJ. There was no getting out of this situation as he ended up with AA whereas I believed he had AK or AQ so I lead off he raised and I jammed to which he called. If I had jammed preflop or reraised, in both instances I was so short on chips for the hand that I would have been all in no matter what decisions I was given.

So it all depends on stack size, player agro level, position, and overall sentiments and hoping that you are not sitting there on tilt before or after the play. You made the right decision in the situation you described and should continue to play that way as it will have longer gains for you.

Go because it is the third strongest hand pre-flop and you often have to take risks QQ is a good hand to risk

It depends on the situation I am in but generally 70% I always go because my opponent would win AK-AA-KK to call my all-in.

It´s a good hand. But, it´s also difficult to use it depending on situations.

I would not go all in with QQ at the start. How often have I had decent pairs before the flop and a guy sitting there with one Ace and another crap card goes in and hits another ace on the flop. That's all it takes to lose.

QQ in MTT is a great pair, it can do a lot. But if I play zoom cash. then QQ loses 99%, because there is always someone with KK or AA or collecting a straight or a set .... whatever happens. Forget about not playing cash ... even my KKs do not come in there meeting AA all the time ... this is too often to be true.

I agree that it definitely depends on stack size and the player you're up against. I think if it doesn't cost half your stack, call anything. You may as well gamble.

It depends of many things that you didn`t specified. Like, for example, the size of the table, the aggro factor of the other players, your stack, anyway QQ is a monster hand preflop but you got to remember that there are other 2 hands that overtakes it and never forget that after the flop it is just a pair.

It's a good hand but in cash games i will fold this hand if there is an A or K on the flop.
