I've been trying to improve my cash game results. I tend to struggle with multi-way pots. Any tips on how to play more profitably when 3+ players see the flop?

People play very face-up/predictable in multiway pots. Try to put them on hands (marginal ace/draw/2p+/etc.) and see how often you're correct. Then think about how to play accordingly.

Also keep in mind that you don't have to win the pot as often as in heads-up, so it's okay to just fold. Lots of people overplay their crappy one-pair hands.

A key factor in multiway pots is we do not want to bet our medium strength hands as we can value own ourselves. so we do not bet weak top pairs pairs or pair plus gutshots. Instead we bet strong value and bluffs.

The key tip I have always used in multiway pots is to consider this, if you don’t have it someone else probably does. This means you should value bet with better hands, think top pair top kicker and better, and bluff high equity draws, try to avoid nonsense bluffs and be cautious when lots of money goes in. Another key tip is to pay attention to previous action, for example if flop check through and pre flop aggressor checks turn you have the green light to bluff.
