Played that hand very passively untill the river and decided to go for a huge overshove with the nuts to see what happens 😅

I don't always win poker hands, but when I do it's in a checked down pot and i river the nuts and shove all in 40X the pot and get called. Stay lucky friends.

Nice hand, but why are you just checking pre with a hand as strong as QJs!?

Because i mostly gave up on squeezing on that limit out of position with marginal hands. They call any amount normally when i do that, 4x, 5x, 6x it does not matter and im missing flop after flop plus my flop continuation bets do not get the desired results lots of time as people call call and call.

Sometimes they fold pre, sometimes you hit the flop. You just want to be playing a bigger pot versus a weak player with a strong hand

Yes i understand this principle
You just want to be playing a bigger pot versus a weak player with a strong hand
In position yes but not out of position against unknowns who love to smash the call button. Qjs looks way more attractive than it really is and playing in position or out of position makes a huge difference.

If i would have played the hand "normally" i would have won maybe 5 BB after his fold on the flop to my continuation bet. Playing the hand in a more passive (untill i got there) but exploiting way (when i got there) got me his full stack this time.

Checking pre-flop and through flop/turn keeps your range wide and perfectly disguises Q J. MP checking twice caps their range to weak Kx or medium pairs. When the 9 hits, you have the nuts and your line screams "missed draw."

The river overshove is excellent-at micro-stakes, Kx simply can't fold. Clean execution, max value, and great understanding of opponent tendencies🤔
