When entering the cash game table, how many times do you need to multiply the buy-in to stand up?

I usually stand up and change tables after x2 stacks, I never stay too long in one table. hands after a full-stack win often have many potential risks. do you agree?

I think this relies on a mix of two things.

Firstly how soft the table is. In general I'm not going to leave a soft table. Even if chip stacks get a little deeper as this should just amplify our edge.
We shouldn't really be playing in games we don't have an edge in... It's bad poker.

Secondly is how comfortable you are as the effective stack size gets larger on tables you have LESS of an edge on.
Some tables will have more regs and maybe only a fish or two but we still want to be there to play against the fish. Then we will need to pay attention to who has how many chips and what size of pot we are willing to play with them.

On tables I have a lower edge on I tend to look to leave when I'm going to be made to play for my 200bb stack often vs regs, whether it be through them aggressivly 3-Betting or 4-Betting, however if even the other regs are passive but they are just deep It's a good spot to wait around and hope the fish stacks a reg and you can play vs the fish for a 200bb stack half of which was a reg's money that would have been harder to get otherwise.

Just don't play on tables you don't have an edge on and then you don't have to make hard and fast rules, you can make looser rules that will make you more money in the long run as they will be adaptable to in game conditions

I think it depends how comfortable you are playing deep stack poker.

If there is a whale on the table donating and rebuying and I have 10 buy ins in the table then I will probably stay.

If I am 2-3 buy ins deep and there is a good opponent which covers me then I will consider changing tables.

It depends on who my opponents are at the moment, but normally when I double my chips I make a strategic exit from the table...

The deeper the stacks are, the more of an edge you have over the wales. When there are only tough opponents with more than one stack in chips, you can consider leaving for less variance.

Can you explain. What do you mean by more potential risks?

On regular tables I will stay sitting as long as the table is good.

On Z00M-style games, I typically leave & then re-sit once I'm over 150bb. I like playing at 100bb's when I have numerous tables running in that format.

Online is horrible for cash in Ring Game. Your right that once you stack someone usually the tone changes. Everyone is chasing the chips you've acquired and it's generally harder to keep them.than it is to acquire more (reason I only play Zoom online).

However, if the play at the table is soft then staying is a better option but that's rarely the case at higher stakes where most hands are decided via 3 and 4 Bets meaning your in lock down not mode to preserve what you've already acquired alas...

I'm thinking they're coming after you for umm... 'different' reasons.

I agree with you 100%. I usually start with the small minimum buy in and keep that till i have a starting stack amount of profit. This I find has the best results for me, Good luck

I like playing with a big stack, since it tends to give a better "table image". So on a regular table I will only leave, if no weak players are left. Or sometimes if a good player to my left have also build a large stack. Playing 250BB deep against a strong reg with position on me while only 50-120BB against the rest of the table is typically not a good situation. But if I have 380BB, and nobody else have more than 130BB, I am only playing 130BB effective, and my stack dont matter other than psycologically to other players.

This advice however is very good, unless you think, you have an edge against the player pool playing with deep stacks. It will also reduce variance and make coolers less painfull, like when you have second set, but someone else have top set.

Hello everyone. I usually don't pay much attention to the multiplier, in most cases you risk and stay up to 2-3 stacks.
