If you've played slots before, you've probably been there. You just miss that bonus game, or you were one off from hitting a massive payout and think to yourself...why couldn't you have gone one space further and hit.

Does this cause you to keep playing the slot - or do you get so mad that you just have to walk away?

Only couple of times in the recent years and both happened online. Both times I managed to get almost back to even.

Well neither, ... don't play slots really, might have played a couple times in my life,

but that's how those games work, you get oh so close so why not play more🤷

No, I definitely don't get angry because it's not practical. If I run out of money, it means the game is over for me. And if the game is over, I don't think about bonus games anymore because I'm already heading for the exit :)

When I miss a bonus or a big hit by just one spot, it definitely makes me want to keep spinning. It’s like my brain thinks I’m ‘close,’ even though the odds don’t actually change. If I start getting frustrated, that’s when I force myself to stop, otherwise I’d chase losses for no reason.

The machines make it seem like you are close to winning.

Being close to winning a bonus is tempting, but you have to be careful not to gamble compulsively chasing that bonus and lose all the winnings you've already had. It's all a matter of balance and common sense! I would actually think long and hard and only continue chasing that bonus if I could afford to pay for a few more bets, but without exaggeration or fantasies that would lead to greater losses.
Good luck, CRStals!

I don't think so, because I always exit the casino App after a big win on the slots. It's like when you drink a can of beer. We don't hold an empty can of beer in our hands, right? We open the next one. It's the same with slots, we move on to play a new slot.

I think it is random, not knowing how long to go with some extra spins just makes you calculate. But its still random, even choosing a different game is also difficult to work with. Simply get used to the fact that winning some more is useful for other types of games like investing in poker tournaments not waiting for those exponential gains there. I had sone experience with that, however it all depends on micromanagement. You should definitely use your bankroll with flow planning. But its fun to get those big wins, imo, and then use them to buy in the next day in a big poker event. Good luck in any case, I have already started feeling some micromanagement need because of this!

Yes, it motivates me to continue playing. Sometimes, when I see potential, I may spend more than I planned, but these are exceptional cases. Usually, if I see that I am not far off, I am prepared to spend more than my limit allows.

I don't really play slots, but I know the feeling that leads to chasing, which leads to disaster 😣😣.

Guess it depends? Sometimes slot is probably worth 10+ extra spins if it teases (too much) with bonuses ...

As for turning into rage monster and/or walking away then one thing is certain - you cant continue playing when balance is zero so ...

More than just to strike a balance, I've never been tempted, and of course, I enjoy playing a few slots at low stakes sometimes.

Knowing that slot machines are programmed computers, there is no purpose to believing that a close miss will turn into a win next time.

No I have the discipline not to play bingo/lotteries in casinos. I play either poker or blackjack.

I only ever play slots with just the change I have left in my pocket(less then $5) as I'm walking out the door.

Cheers!!!

It happens everytime, and the slots are programmed to give you a near miss effect so that you can play more, but playing more leads to more near misses, until you realize you are not playing the slots, but slots are playing you.

I always make decisions easily in such situations. I just keep playing, even if it's not within my bankroll limit. Personally, I don't see any other options.

I try to strictly control my self when playing poker or casino or other betting gambling game .
But yeah , very few times I might lose control , chasing losses , or thinking that yeah now it is going to give back all losses plus winnings .
On slots I think the more you wager whole playing the more it could possibly give back as a win . So that thinking might make me play a longer session .
But[hat happens rarely , especially because nowadays . I have a strict bankroll management , I pre decide what I ll play , how much I will play/lose .

Today I played, played a lot, I made four auto games with 50 spins, which is a maximum for one slot, and three games of 100 spins for another. I was persuaded by the challenge of the day and the deposit bonus. I can say that during this time half of the deposit was lost, a lot of free spins were received, as well as big wins. He also took part in the tournament. However, I don't regret having spent this slot session.)

If there is a real need to continue playing and spend money beyond my limit, then in most cases I will be ready to do so. But this rarely happens. In order for me to incur such additional expenses, I must truly understand that winning is more than likely.

Usually, when such situations arise, it's just extra expenses and nothing more. One step can be very costly. In my opinion, your own rules and principles should always come first. Discipline is what protects our wallet and takes care of our nerves :)

A rather familiar situation :)
In such cases, I continue playing even if it means borrowing money, which is definitely bad because I usually leave the casino with debts and a bad mood.

I only get angry and walk away when my pockets are empty. As long as I have at least one dollar left, I will always try to use this last chance.
