Do you trust electronic devices as much as live dealers?

Hi everybody,

I'm going monthly to a Casino, but I always feared the RNG on electronics (black jack, roulette, craps and all other games). I'm always afraid to lose more money than at a live person who's really in front of me.

Am I right to fear those? Do casinos have checkups from people to make sure at least some of their players wins some time?

And another question: my local Casino has a whole section where buy-ins are lower. Do you think the % of winning is the same as regular table? Does the same standard of winnings apply everywhere?

Thanks for your output. Those are real questions I ask myself and can save me a whole lot of money.

Live in the USA the machines should be regulated and it wouldnt really be worth it for them to cheat.

On a online, non regulated site I do not trust them at all, especially if there is no gaming commission signing off.

I recently watched a YouTube video showing how a card-mixing/shuffling machine was hacked and manipulated. It has a built-in camera meant to verify that the deck is complete, but that same feature can apparently be exploited to track or control the exact order of the cards.

Even though there’s still a human dealer at the table, the machine can still influence the outcome if it’s been tampered with. So in the end, you’re relying on the integrity of the casino—whether the cards are handled by a live dealer, a machine, or both or if you play on a slot machine.

It’s completely normal to feel uneasy about RNGs, especially if you’re used to live games where you can see everything happening. With electronic games you only see the outcome, not the process. Still, reputable casinos use tested and audited systems to avoid exactly these concerns. That doesn’t mean the games become “better” for the player the house edge stays the same. Personally, I prefer live games for the transparency, but I don’t assume the RNG is out to get me. The key is to stick to whatever makes you feel comfortable at the table.Ex:When I get the same cards in two consecutive hands, my first instinct is also to think something’s off. But if you look at the math, the odds are about 1 in 1326 rare, but absolutely possible when you play thousands of hands. Emotionally it feels rigged, mathematically it’s just variance doing its thing.

I have not much of an idea if the same standards do apply to those electronic devices compared to a live setting. But my guess is yes. They win the money anyway in the long run.
