What do you think about this?

I suppose I should do calculations so I could see if it would be worth doing the casino challenges they often offer. Has anyone figured that out? Would it be a positive equity situation?

Because it's addiction and isn't rational.

In my personal opinion, I think that you should not play a game where the RTP is less than 98 percent. These providers are now doing nothing but cutting RTP, which is not acceptable for players at all, the player does not get any return. After all, games that are already too brazenly rowing money with shovels.

In a casino, only the casino always wins. although I myself sometimes play in casinos, I still think that it’s better not to mess with him

Pokerstars are not the only ones adjusting their RTP. I used to like playing a slot or two, but certainly since the begging of the year, i have noticed a big downturn in payouts and hitting scatter bonus across all platforms. I now don't bother too much with slots.

There was a big time 'adjustment' in their rake in their sportsbetting as well

Old thread but I am just now seeing it and feel compelled to explain lol.

This is 100% a slot tournament - nobody plays like that any other time. They are free and usually have great prizes. They are amazing and great to play - if invited to one and it costs you nothing to get there - it is a no brainer to play in it if you have time.

They are on a time limit to hit as much as possible so that is the only way to have a chance at winning - get as many spins in as you can in the designate time.

It sounds like fun, but I wonder how many have to see their doctors afterwards for carpal tunnel?

<<< Ouch >>>

I'll be honest, I don't really understand how RTP works... and how to know what is an acceptable range, and what is not. Can someone explain to me?

It is pretty simple.
If we look at OP's starting post with the chart we can see that all the games have less than 100% RTP.
For example, the first game Anita Fortuna Classic has RTP 94.10%.
So if you would spend $100 on that game you should expect to get back only $94.10 on average. So the 5.9% (100 - 94.10) is the house's edge.
What is acceptable... only you can decide that. All of them make you lose money in the long run. Of course you should always seek a game with the highest RTP but still you would loose. So a game has to have some other positive attributes to make it worth your while, and only you know what those attributes are.

If the RTP would be over 100% you would be a winner in the long run, but that is never the case.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. It's sort of like moneyline wagers or sports betting odds, just expressed in a different way, and always on the (-) side.

-200: you must bet $200 to win $100
+150 : $100 wager would win you $150

Yes, but I like to think of it not as "winning" $94.10 but rather as "losing" $5.90, or the entertainment fee that you pay to play the game. "Winning" implies that you're ahead, which of course your'e not unless you're taking home more than $100. Of course what they don't tell you is how long you'd have to play to be guaranteed to realize that RTP of 94.1%, which is theoretically indefinitely. You could lose many thousands of dollars before clawing your way back up to an 'almost' break even position. I think the casinos make most of their money from people who put a couple hundred (or thousand) dollars in, lose it and don't stick around to win 'most' of it back.

And while I still had the edit option open I changed the wording ;)

Yes kind of agree "get back" would be probably the correct wording here. As a win we can only see whatever amount that is over 100 dollars.
