In the casino, roulette isn’t just a game. It’s a feeling, an energy, a bit of controlled chaos. Some play for fun. Others for adrenaline. Others because they feel the table “speaks” to them. There’s no perfect strategy! There are nights when roulette gives you everything. And nights when it takes everything. That’s the nature of the game. But that moment when the ball lands exactly on your number… That’s why people come back.Roulette isn’t about money. It’s about emotion, about the moment, about the feeling that for a few seconds everything depends on a single spin. What do you feel when you play roulette with real money, not just chips? What goes through your mind in that moment when the spin becomes more than a game?

I think if someone plays Roulette for other than these 2 reasons, then they're pure degenerate gamblers.
As to "The table speaks to them", that's definitely beyond the scope of my little brain.

I get your point, but people play for different reasons. For some it’s fun, for others it’s the thrill or the atmosphere. Just because someone feels something at the table doesn’t automatically make them a degenerate gambler!

I have never played roulette with virtual chips :)
If I play such games, I play them exclusively for money. All I am interested in is the opportunity to win money. The emotions that bring me pleasure are precisely those emotions from winning. I come back every time because every time my goal is to make money.

What do you feel when you play roulette with real money, not just chips?
-Excitement and anticipation

- Pressure and responsibility

- Euphoria when winning

- Frustration or regret when losing

The major difference compared to chips When you use chips, the game feels like entertainment. When you use real money, the emotions are real because the stakes are real.

Why this happens ?

I don't know how it is for others, but for me, roulette is just a regular classic casino game. I don't see anything more in it. A wheel and balls, a betting table. I only play with money I can afford to lose, so any result is acceptable to me. I don't feel any incredible emotions during the game.

Sure, everyone experiences the game differently. For me, playing with real money feels more intense and emotional than using chips.

Do you think there are people who play just for chips without money?
What is the point of such a game?

Yes, there are people who play only with chips. For some, it’s just fun or practice, without the pressure of real money. Everyone sees the game in their own way.

The feelings you describe are typical of players who gamble and risk money they cannot afford to lose. I have a question. Do you play in accordance with bankroll management?

No, I don’t risk money I can’t afford to lose. I have a clear budget when I play, so yes, I can say that I follow bankroll management.

From what I can see, there are only a few people commenting, and I wonder why. Maybe it’s because you don’t play roulette? Yes, with roulette you can lose, but you can also win. And that feeling when your number hits and you’ve placed a lot of chips on it is amazing! That’s the moment when you should stop—either when you’re ahead or when you’ve recovered your previous losses. What do you think? Do you actually play, or do you do it just for fun?

I don't play with play chips because I value my time. I only play for money when I win it at poker because I value my money. Of course, I feel a certain excitement, a thrill, but I am well aware that roulette will not potentially bring me the kind of money that could really influence or change my life.

I completely understand your point, and you’re right: both time and money deserve to be valued. Everyone enjoys games in their own way. Some look for excitement, others play just for fun, and some only play when they feel it’s worth it. What matters is knowing your limits and sticking to them. In the end, everyone plays in their own style, and that’s perfectly fine.

Everyone perceives the game in their own way. For some, roulette is more than a game, for others it is less, for some it is a means of earning money, for others it is a means of entertainment. For me, it's just a regular gaming machine, like slots, for example. I don't see any fundamental difference. I rarely spend more than $20 per evening, so casino games don't have any particular effect on me.

I like to bet on zero, 10, 20, 30, those are my favourite numbers. I don’t play often, and I don’t lose much because I can’t afford to lose a lot. I don’t see roulette as something magical or mystical. I’m more inclined to compare it to a beer fridge.

There is no way to beat basic math in the long term. The house has the edge and there is no way around it.

Roulette is a rather simple game. There’s nothing particularly complicated about it. It’s just money and bets – quite straightforward. In my opinion, a game like Craps is far more exciting.
