What do you think of the doubling strategy? For example, you wait for red to come up 7 times in a row and then start betting on black. In most casinos, $10 or €10 is the minimum bet on even chances. So you start with 10, and if red comes up again, you bet 20 in the next round, and so on until black finally comes up.

Which strategies have you tried before that made you successful at roulette?

None that worked over the long run

Also apparently these are now illegal on WPTG, just FYIScreenshot 20251119 184816

Don't go and try to win casino games with some kind of "strategies aimed at winnings" now...

One of the next beginner's guide to the casino is going to expand on the roulette piece we already did and talk through multiple betting strategies and patterns that have been developed over the years. The key is - there's no perfect system - you either will lose in the long run because you can't cover the entire board and be profitable every spin, or you'll lose a little every spin.

But some of the patterns are out there!!

There is really no strategy that will actually make any decent money playing black/red or even/odd. The doubling up after each loss can get you your original bet if you don’t hit the table maximum.

Roulette is one of those games that requires little study…it can be simply place your bet and sit back…might as well play your children’s and grandchildren’s birthday.

... until black comes up, or until your pockets are empty. It's the empty pockets strategy, and they will definitely be empty, if not today, then tomorrow :)

This approach carries high risk, as it requires unlimited financial resources to cover potential losses, and can lead to rapid bankruptcy if a long losing streak occurs.

I think this idea is as old as roulette itself. Who knows how many people have lost everything playing this system. I think a lot. I don't recommend repeating other people's mistakes. Even if you get lucky a few times, in the long run you're headed for disaster :)

I played using this strategy, and not only on roulette. It is called the Martingale strategy. And from my experience, I can say that the day when black does not come up 26 times will come :)

I play roulette intuitively, without any system or strategy. In my opinion, roulette is a game where no system can give you consistently good results. Roulette is a game of intuition.

There is no winning roulette strategy. You can win over the short term, but over the long term the house edge is too much to overcome.

Roulette is played based on gut instinct; there's no point in playing with strategy because it's completely random.

“No system can turn a game that favors the house into a profitable activity for the player.”
I have seen this for myself, including by using the strategy you described.

Over a short stretch you can come out on top, as long as you bank the cash and move on! Obviously you need a loss limit and emotional discipline/regulation if it goes wrong!

I think the strategy you are talking about can bring regular income, provided that your bankroll is large enough. I think that to play using this strategy, your bankroll should be at least $100,000.

To play using this system, your bankroll must be very substantial, with a significant reserve. Otherwise, you risk losing everything. I don't know if such a large bankroll is worth the minimal income and risk you will incur when playing using this system. I don't think it's a good idea.

The doubling strategy (Martingale) doesn’t work long-term - table limits and bankroll limits kill it. Roulette has a fixed house edge, so no strategy beats it. Best “strategy” is small bets and stop when you’re up.

Play Live Roulette so that the risk is minimal... Doubling requires a large bankroll and DON'T FORGET: the house has a limit!!! And if your color eventually comes up, you only win the amount you started with in this race. The doubling strategy in roulette is a bet on your nerves and bankroll: stakes grow exponentially, winnings stay minimal, and the house always sets the final limit. Is it an illusion of control or a lesson in how risk truly works?

I completely agree. The doubling system can work, but your bankroll has to be incredibly large, and there is still a risk of losing it. The only system that can work is to play disciplined and, if you manage to make a profit, lock it in.

Each casino has betting limits = it is not possible to play in the casino over a long distance, you want to beat in the black in the casino - buy yourself a casino
