Slots - any skill needed?

I see comments that slots are for entertainment and many people is seen in the casinos playing slots and even online.

I have seen or read that there are slots torunaments... then my question is... Is there any skill playing Slots?
if not so... why join a tournament?
what would be the trophy awarded for? if its just luck, why not playing lottery instead?

The lottery is simply the purchase of tickets. Slots are a process, a process that allows you to relax and have fun. These are different things. But in general, like you, I consider playing slots or roulette to be like buying dessert. Obviously, these games are all about luck. As for skills, they are probably necessary, but only at a minimal level.

i would never put a single coin in there but i think:
Playing slots is not only about pressing a button or tapping on your mobile phone. It requires strategic thinking combined with decision-making skills. As in Poker, you will need a very strong mindset and self-control/self-care. Even it's only luck, i'am very sure that most players lose their mind.

In my opinion, there is one thing that is most important in any game of chance. And it's not skill or luck. It's bankroll management. If you know how to do it, you have the potential to make money. If not, you are doomed to lose.

I've always considered slots as a pure gambling, entertainment game where there's no skill involved. But lately, after CC partnered with casino.us and we had all these posts casino related, I've learned more about those machines.
For example, I learned that there are Slot machines professionals. That alone means that there's some kind of skill involved.

You need a couple skills to play slots-
1. discipline bankroll approach - decide how much you are willing to lose as part of your entertainment budget
2. find how which machines have the highest Return to Player
3. keep good records(usually a player card will work) for taxes

Do you need any skills to go to a store and buy a lottery ticket?
Yes, certain skills are still needed. The same goes for slots or roulette, which are completely random games, and if luck is not on your side, you should at least focus on enjoying the game

Slots are totally random, the only skill you need is the ability to push a button.

There is no difference between slots and buying a lottery ticket apart from it takes more time to play a slot than it does to buy a lottery ticket.

Can't tell if your making a joke or are serious, if serious please read my reply to GIRAUG73 above. If it's a joke, I like the added touch of waiting 5-7 seconds.

You are correct to consider slots as pure gambling, slots are totally random, even those pro's you see will tell you that.

Absolutely not, the pro's you watch do not show you the majority of their losses. I consider you a to be a smart fella Sami, and as a smart fella you can probably explain to me the skill involved in pushing a button.

Slot work on a % pay-out normally around 80%, they have a cycle of X amount of spins, in 1 cycle of there X amount of spins they will pay-out there % pay-out. Play the slot at the right time and you will hit the jackpot.
Slot machines professional are also call lurkers they wait for others to fill the slots losing/ small pay-out part of cycle and play the higher pay-out part of the cycle.

Anyway, the "skill involved" I referred to is not actually the kind of skill you might be thinking of.

It's known that Slots would give away some nice prizes or even a jackpot at certain times. Those pros are "skillful" in knowing when those times are close, hence when to play.

I have watched many of the "pro's" in the past, and they themselves say slots are random.

There is no skills when it comes to playing slots . Only luck . But maybe there might be some skill , skill to know when to stop playing one slot and go to another cause apparently it's stopped paying and has started gnawing your cash balance . The skill to stop and call it a day . )))))

For slot tournaments I don't know , I never played , although I tried learning more about them or even joining one . Maybe that happens in the future .

Your skills will certainly not be superfluous, but even without them, you still have a chance to win something. I think that in such games, it is not your skills that matter most, but your discipline and your ability to stop at the right time.
